has anyone used the aux bung adapter? do you have to vent the barrel so it doesn't collapse? if you do vent it how do you keep water out of the barrel since the top is recessed?

I received my new mounts in the mail today. they are not what i expected at all,they are very firm and not flexible at all. if you look for an alternative mount it will need to be almost solid.

I am no expert so let me know if i figured this correct. to figure the KVA of my MEP 002A i first took 240 volts x 26 amps x 1.732 constant then divided by 1000 240x26x1.732 divide 1000 =10.80 so my little 002a is 10 kva? right?

i would bet you could get a rebuild kit for that pump. found this place http://then-now-auto.com/fuel-pumps/ also found some pumps on ebay. you should be good to go

I just found a source for aftermarket mounts that are much cheaper and just might be a direct replacement. not sure until i dig deeper. anyway they look good. can i post a link? if not look up "Barrys shock mounts" let me know what you think.

that is good news! my control box was shaking so bad i was concerned that the wires would break behind the control box

I have a brand new one but it is 400HZ. it will be perfect for when i get that surplus helicopter.

I found some still inside the expiration date. I watched some youtube vids of other MEP 002A running and the control box was stable so i stayed with the original design. my concern is that the wire harness behind the control box would give way at the connector.

I have contacted the manufacturer of these mounts. there is an expiration date on them so somewhere sitting on a shelf are some perfectly good mounts that can't be used because they are to old of have been taken out of service for the same reason. we shall see.

I think i need some new Vibration dampeners for my MEP 002A. the control box shakes more than it should. i temp fixed the problem by doubling over some soft rubber tarp straps and wedging them between the box and frame. anyone know who carries these parts?

Cuad4u Thank You,you are correct the doors should open but my ambient temp is 27 degrees F and the dryer only loads the generator intermittently. it gets the temp up just enough for the doors to open just about 1/4 of an inch then the element in the dryer cycles off and she cools back down...

I may be wrong,but i think if you run an MEP 003a or 2a without the batteries it will overheat the DC voltage regulator. i was of the opinion there is an aftermarket VR for the DC that can be used that allows the set to be run without batteries. again i may be wrong
