I wasn’t knocking him at all. His kit is comprised of high end stuff. I was simply telling you that this isn’t a revolutionary idea and most of those companies have had a similar product. Gm went to a high flow water pump and a dual thermostat crossover on the 6.5 to speed up coolant flow to get...
Regardless of the level of quality you provide does not change the fact that very similar (in design) kits already existed. Bbcjake did not seem aware of that. Your kit is very complete and far better than I’ve seen as far as parts goes. Not all of them went to the heater circuit. There was one...
You could always check the connection at the horn to see if it gets power when the button is depressed. My actual horn didn’t work. A cheap replacement from the parts store and I was back in business.
As far as gen 2 goes, does your volt gauge work?
Most of those companies already had kits pretty much exactly like this and have been phased out probably because of demand. This is not a new idea in the least bit.
It goes from the heater hose that enters the radiator to that hose barb on the crossover. In the Arctic kit TM it shows the crossover upper barb going to the drivers fenderwell heater and then from the heater goes to a Y pipe that is in the heater hose to the radiator.
Guessing once my truck...
I understand that and was gathering up fittings per your pictures for the hmmwv crossover. I had planned on putting it on that passenger side 1/2” npt port on the hmmwv crossover. Was just confused by the middle fitting and Y for my heater hose.
Turns out there’s yet another crossover for...
I have a cucv crossover installed. I do have an hmmwv crossover to swap in at some point.
edit: I may have figured it out. My m1009 used to have an arctic kit installed and in the instructions it says to install a Y fitting off the radiator and a new crossover (though doesn’t seem different...
I have a quick question for you, I have a hose that runs to a nipple on the top of my crossover to a T between the radiator and heater hose. Did yours not have this? Similar spot to where you have this kit tied in to the crossover.
Thanks for the explanation. So essentially it’s “normal”.
I do have a turbo which helps bombing down the road but idling or going slow on trails I get smoke at high elevations.
Mine isn’t leaking or anything.
So my m1009 runs well around town (5,000-6,000ft) and runs well up the highway (9,000ft or so) but I start getting black smoke at anything higher. At 10,000ft+ it smokes at idle. My egt’s never get much over 900*f.
Should the injector pump compensate for elevation change?
As far as I know my...
I’ve sold my last 3 vehicles by meeting up with someone to show it to them. No way to have the engine cold in that instance and nobody called me shady.
