I am in the beginning stages of adding A/C to my deuce. I bought a 100% complete system down to the lockwashers (less freon) from a SS in California. He had 2. Paid $300 plus $300 to have it shipped to Florida. It is a system from the newest version of the M35. I went to the local NG motor pool...

I am looking for a suppler for the cordage to fasten down my new cargo cover. The cordage that came with the top keeps breaking. I have been told Beechwood and WeeBee are suppliers, but other than the name, I have no other info on the companies. Thanks for you help. :)

Ditto on jmassenga's post. I had the same malady you are having. Worked on brights but not dim.

I bought mine from the helpful hardware guys at my local Ace. They were around $14 bucks each. The are locking garage door handles, and are almost a dead ringer for the original deuce handle. I had to cut 3/16" off the end of the square shaft of the handle going into the deuce door. Then you...

I bought 2 gallons and did two coats on the bed. Have enough left to do the cab. I will paint over it with Wally world Camo Krylon. Looks great and wears well. 2cents

George at White Owl is a great resource for both parts and info. Congrats. I did the same thing you did and got the complete setup for around a grand. There was a thread earlier fir a very helpfull SS member with a list of all the bolts needed and where to get them. :beer:

Ace Hwde sells stainless screws that I used. Nice fit and won't corrode.....inexpensive too.

I found a comlete A/C unit from a new model 2 1/2 ton, I believe it's a 1028, and currently modifying my M35A2. Pics are coming. I am fabricating the mount for the compressor. I live in Florida and this is a necessary addition. :driver:
