I have do not need to get it fast but I would need to see if they guy would wait for pickup until then. I may try to make a trip down there to get it if nothing else but I would not be able to make it down there until spring break. I like the idea of picking it up from you at Aberdeen. That...
I am looking possibly getting a M151 body from a guy in Marietta GA. It does not have a power pack so it should be pretty light. It does roll. Anyone able to help me out with getting it closer to Michigan? I am hoping someone going to a rally down south may be able to help me out with this...
In Michigan he does not need a tag to get the truck directly home but you must get home within 72 hours. I think he had insurance as he had someone verify the serial number for him.
Runs and drives. :driver: I am sure they did not say for how long. While I really hate defending GL they are not a car lot. They give no warranty at all. I hate to hear about the problem with the truck but those are the breaks when we go for the GL price instead of the Memphis Equipment price...
Gary,
You may have misconstrued my last post. It was about the license plate not driver's license. Welcome to the site. We are practically neighbors.

The military bulbs are double filament but they are just redundant filaments in case one filament breaks. They are filaments are both the same not like the 1157 with has one filament for brake lights and one for tail lights. If I remember correctly the 1156 takes place of the brake and turn bulb...
I take my deuce to this every year for display. Are you saying they are not going to let me in this year because mine is still camo? I doubt I will have my M151 done by then. Are you rallying for a Vietnam reenactment or for display?
Will someone please explain to Joe the difference between a M1008 and a M1009. He always lists the trucks as M1009 cargo and the blazers as M1008. Did everyone get something except me? I refuse to help at all since you truck hogs did not leave anything for me.
If I knew for sure what year it was I could tell you. Title says 62 but that does not seem to match the truck. I think I am going to make stencils of the pattern so I can reapply it after I fix the body. Do you want me to send you a copy?rofl
I have posted that I feel people can do what they want with their trucks but when I look at the metal plate floor, roll bar, ford keyed ignition switch, electrical box with no purpose on the trans tunnel, and all the edges of my body panels that bubba cut away I really want to find the guy and...
One point I would like to make. I consider any military upgrade to be as original. I am trying to keep my truck the way my Desert Storm deuce was set up but am going to add the winch and have added the ringmount. I am also rolling with the newer vinyl top and cab cover. My truck was never depot...
I thought about this a few years ago at Thunder Over Michigan. I talked to a guy with a WWII jeep that he had from the time he bought it surplus from the military. He had the foresight to keep it original. This is what prompted me to buy the deuce. I figured getting the thing in good shape while...
There was another write up by a member (I can't remember who) on a remote reservoir addition he did using an Integra (honda works also) master cylinder. It work not only as a remote reservoir. It also had an internal level switch so you could add a warning light for low brake fluid. I just one...
