No weakness. Figure the trucks going around with soft tops. Part of the point of this top is to add some protection. It is over engineered to provide more protection from falling debris then either the soft top or the military hard top.
The positive of the front battery connects to the negative on the rear battery. In essence, the battery connection is made through the wire connecting the front battery to the rear. This is also where the truck taps the 12 volt feed off. The wire for 12 volt for the cucv does not attach to the...
I am afraid I did not read your post close enough. I did find the -esc by a google search and the only mention was on a Tm website with not further link provided. I had never heard of a -esc before. Sorry for the confusion.

I have an M series electrical test set and it includes an adapter that goes between the plug and the cable to allow an inductive timing light. It also has a terminal for the old school non inductive timing light. You might try one but I thought these engines were static timed only.
I doubt it. The M151 has a transmission and transfer system that has them as one unit so the transmission is not the same. Also, the starter for the M151 mount facing forward onto the bell housing of the transmission. I do not know for sure as I have not personally compared to see so I may be wrong.
I think what you had replaced was the side rails for the glass. They rust out and cause a lot of problems. The felt on them also wears away. There is only one regulator and that is in the middle to raise and lower the glass. LMC truck has most all of the parts for the gates. I used new side...
I saw that but for my tastes I do not like the hole in the cab. Some other posts were put up about different locks for the engine kill cable if that is a route 10 wants to take. I think Jones posted on this.
One thing I have not seen brought up is a locking door handle. Both deuce doors lock by pushing the handle the opposite way from the way it opens. Someone in the past has installed a key lock handle that replaced the regular door handle. Easier to get around than a hidden switch but it has the...
It is pretty easy being made out of small angle aluminum. I will take measurements and post some engineering drawings. The only hard part is the rivet for the hinge.
Before blasting gimpy you should know that he has helped plenty of us on the site by more than just posting advice. I think you took his initial response wrong then you came off the top rope. Think before you post or you may not have someone like gimpy to help you in the future. I can assure you...
After the response above I was hesitant to post but I will go ahead and do so. I have a lock on my switch that I put a small pad lock on. This is how it came from the military and it is very good at shows to keep people from messing with the power switch. I thought I had a better picture but you...
I don't think the 818 will tow any trailer without the trailer riding high in the front. I towed my M146 and I think it was like the M119 but it had windows.
I got an two NOS ones off ebay a year or so ago for around $20 each. I am also looking to convert one to natural gas for powering the homestead during an outage.
