What, so we can watch you get all the good stuff right before we walk up to it!

PNW-2010-Second Annual Chehalis River Valley MV Convoy/Camp-Out

Well, if I have a couple vehicles out again for this convoy, I might have some extra seating for passenger(s). I know there were a couple trucks that could have a passenger. And you might just ride in a FEW different vehicles on the convoy, and jump in different ones at each stop! Or you can...

M818....I'm trying a new way to put a bed on it...

Yes please on those pictures! I think that is the way I want to go, if they look as close as I think they will be. And definitely room for storage under there now, just time to be a little creative.....

M818....I'm trying a new way to put a bed on it...

Well, with 16r20 tires on there, that will not look AS out of place. Plus getting something to fill in the gaps will make it more appealing to the eye. That looks like it confirms my plan of using a second set of ramps put on upside down on the trailer to mate up with the ones on the truck. I...

    6x6 all gears

There are two ways about having a switch. The first part is just putting a switch to the current setup. This allows you to roll backwards without having the transmission in reverse. Kind of handy! It basically disables the entire sprag setup. The second setup requires changing the sprag and...

    6x6 all gears

You only hear the thunk going INTO reverse, and the release of air when taking it OUT of reverse. Also note, just because you hear the hissing air being released, does NOT mean that it is actually engaging the reverse sprag! On a new-to-me truck, I like to drive the truck a little bit, move the...

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

Come on guys, Saturdays are difficult for me to swing! Sundays are much easier for me to work around, when I am not traveling south a few hundred miles....

New motor oil- burn in deuce

Yeah, can't think of a cheaper way to clean the motor up then flushing it with clean motor oil on a short change interval!

New motor oil- burn in deuce

With a large amount of new/clean motor oil like that, I think I would do a couple quick oil changes on my vehicles to really clean them up, then just use the barely used MO for fuel. Maybe run that stuff for 500 miles, change it out (not the filter, just the oil), repeat a couple times until the...

    16R20 XZL on M818

No rub with mine. I was actually thinking about changing the steering stops to get a little MORE steering out of mine...

PNW-2010-Second Annual Chehalis River Valley MV Convoy/Camp-Out

I am not sure I HAVE all the correct parts of it. And I don't think I have all the poles for setting one up. I think I have the ropes for it, but I also need some stakes as well. Btw, it has been about 15 years since I set one up, so I think I would need the TM for doing it right.... ;)

PNW-2010-Second Annual Chehalis River Valley MV Convoy/Camp-Out

Well, I happen to have TWO GP medium tents and a GP small! I haven't actually rolled out all that canvas yet to see if I even have enough to make one good GP medium yet, but if people are that interested in sleeping in a larger tent, I can try and get at least one Medium sorted out by then.

    Insulating the cab

Insulating that will be EASY. Just use the easy spray glue stuff, and you are set and DONE in a few minutes! Of course you will spend FAR longer pulling apart the foam to get the sheets of the thickness you want....

    Insulating the cab

There are some fairly thin sheets that are 'almost' the full width of the cab. So you could easily put them above the support ribs for the soft top. But you might be a little hard pressed to make it look good. And the foam is pretty firm, and the movement of the soft top might wear it out kind...

    Insulating the cab

Ha, yeah, he could throw it into his truck from the supply truck! Btw, I just pulled the foam apart with my hands. And I cut the foam with a sharp pocket knife (small Kershaw, makes it easy with the small thing!) If you want it to look perfect, make cardboard templates, and use a razor knife...

    Insulating the cab

Well, I had planned on starting this job earlier, but my plans had got changed. Funny thing, after waiting so long, I stumble upon some NICE foam to use for insulation. It comes all glued together in different thickness of layers to fit some missile parts (thanks DAN!!!) Funny part, they used...

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

That was a LOT of fun! We both enjoyed meeting more of the locals (and the canadian... ;) ) Sure turned out great for a mini rally! Brad's place is a bit too much. I want a LOT of stuff he has there, but I can't afford to get all the stuff I want (or what he would sell). Ok, so let's start a...

You want me to meet you at your place, or someplace like Exit 71 at the gas station? I will be in the blazer, so I can always catch up to you guys on the freeway ;)

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

I would let you borrow my towbar, but it is attached to the front of my bobbed deuce that is still sitting in CA. I would love to bring the 5 ton, but I don't feel like doing any heavy lifting for a transmission, or whatever else. Plus, I have more room to haul stuff in the M1009 ;) I will...
