Check the fluids and all looks good. The trans motor oil smells fresh with no burn small. The engine looks very unmolested:mrgreen: almost looks new
They didn't cut the wires when the pulled the voltage gauge  They did however damage a couple of rocker switches. Just need to fine a...
I am a proud owner of a M1078 I just won. Got it home today and I see the yard apes put a nasty dent on the front of the cab. The paint has chipped right down to the metal. Problem is I live in the wet pacific north west. It will rust in no time. I want to do a stop gap measure to help stop any...
Need 2 batteries. Didn't pull the dipsticks yet but looked at the coolant and that looks good. I have a feeling this truck will run once I get a couple of batteries. The truck looks to be in really good condition and the engine and trans looks clean. The body looks better that I was expecting...
It's here... WooHoo... Good news is no hole in the transmission! Looks good but the apes at GP dented the crap out the front :x... and it look like someone monkeyed with the relays/fuse box... One thing I look at when I was looking.
As of right now I need batteries and a voltage gauge. I know...
Thanks for the tip about uship... I did call a few wrecker companies last week. Most where like "dose it have keys" "year, make and model" "Never heard of that" I even called the tow companies around Ft Lewis are they where at a loss.. Only one seem so understand what I wanted but it was like...
Well it seem that the person is a FLAKE!!! He told me he would have this picked up first thing this morning. I can not even get a hold of him now. I have no idea if he has picked it up or what...This is turning into a nightmare. Needless say I am pissed.
Is that the battery, the round thing with the pink label? I know we use a battery like that at work. If there's a place to solder on some test points to power the unit maybe a way to change the battery? Sounds like a niche market if someone could find a way. I guess CAT is going the way of...
I have found a person that can move this thing. Found him off Craig's list. I'll let you know how this works out. Maybe a go to guy for people here in Washington?
Back to to the main question.... Anybody in Washington (wet side) know of a tow company that can tow this? Need to get her here first before I do anything else. I have a bid out on VeriTread but I think they are mainly flatbed type of services. Anyway I live north of there it's at.
Can't cry over spilled, um, well, trannyfluid now. :-( She is mine bought and paid for. I have been watching these trucks for awhile and just wanted to see how the bidding worked so... I threw in one bid of 3800.00 and didn't think much of it considering the one with the cracked engine went for...
I knew the dash was torn apart... Electrical problems don't scare me one bit... I do enjoy electrical problem... hole in the trashmission... Yuck
Thanks though.
Yes 3800 bucks must be the one with the hole in the trans  Not that I can't replace a trans... just something I do not like doing.
On moving the truck... I know what a landall is but the problem is where I want to put it... Can they be towed on a hook... of course with axle/ drive line...
