What all is in "annual service kits"?

Yes sir I too have seen people replace non leaking seals (on just about anythng) to end up with problems. They fixed it till it was broke... Installing seals properly isn't as easy as people think. Maybe the thinking is FMTV crossfit gym for some.

Finally got some off road time M1079

I think I like camping in the dry better than wet. Heck one of those pictures above was on a dry lake bead in Nevada. Don't think you can get much drier. :) I do love the "dry" side of the state but I am on the "wet" side. Heck this year has been the wet and snowy side... Some pictures from...

Finally got some off road time M1079

Thought your name was familiar... Going to be fun to watch you folks outfit your M1079! I love the desert and the southwest! So much opportunity for good offroading, camping and photography! Some of the camping I have done in the past.

    Is my M1009 24V or 12V?

The glow plug system is a trap. While its a "24 volt" system you do not want more than 15 volts applied to a glow plug. The 2 dropping resistors drop the voltage to around 14 volts +/- with all 8 glow plugs in working order. If you have 3 or more burned out glow plugs your voltage will go up and...

What was your experience with shipping a LMTV

I can't argue with your thinking. But like you said I think I may be better off with the broker with a longer haul. I am just trying to get my budget down on how much to bid vs total cost and what to kind of experience may expect. I would like to deal with the local base here but prices seem...

What was your experience with shipping a LMTV

I have been looking at a few at the usual places. I know shipping is not cheap and I am not looking for talk about that. What I would like to know is your experience. Like if one LMTV needs a jump start. Is this something the shipping company can do? Will the usual auction places give any help...

I think I want one of these FMTV

I have been looking and I am sure I missed it but is there a place that has bed dimensions? Mainly the M1078 and M1083 but other variants are also welcome. I tried to post some questions but got a message that said a mod needed to approve the post. Have I violated some rule?

I think I want one of these FMTV

I believe that it's because all of the smaller cities/counties and Indian tribes use the DRMO heavily and simple supply and demand. I always thought stuff out of Fort Lewis went for a higher price given the condition compared to places like Yermo/Barstow or Hill.

I think I want one of these FMTV

Govplanet is something new to me... and I am sure they are another contractor and all... Did you have your MTV shipped or did you pick it up yourself? I see a few out of my AO and was wondering how well shipping works. What about their inspection report? Would you call it fair?

I think I want one of these FMTV

Thank you for the link to the TMs... Even more stuff to read... I have a question... is the running gear/chassis the same between the 2.5 - 5 ton? I know there's another axe and all but are parts interchangeable? Also want to know how close the TMs are. About the only place I can inspect DRMO...

Hello there! First time posting to this forum. I hope I don't sound too strange or if I have missed something when I ask questions about the FMTVs. I think I may want to get me one of these things and have just starting to read about them. Is there a good place to start and find out what too...

    Front seats for a M1009

First off let me say this is my first post... So if I sound like a nooby... well... I am. However, I have been working on the CUCV series since 1994 when I got my first M1008. Anyway, I am looking for the correct front seats for the M1009 blazer D3. I have M1010 front seats in there now. Does...
