Just bought an M1031 and have an SM465 that I was thinking that might find it's way into this truck. Agree that an OD would be nice, but figured that even thought it's still 1:1, would free-up some power the slushbox is robbing and everyone knows the 6.2L needs all the help it can get.

Just bought one of these and was wondering if it has the LSD in the front axle. Have been reading conflicting info.

Dunno much about the 8.3 in my A2 yet, but the 12V 6BT Cummins tolerate alternative fuels pretty well, so if they're similar in that regard, then seems to me that the ability to burn gasoline in the multifuel engines is the only fuel option I'm really giving up.

I want to keep the tanks and return lines separate so I can have on dedicated diesel tank and one slut-tank for oils and whatever I can get my hands on.

How does the dual tank setup in the M931/2 trucks work? Looks like the tank on the right is smaller? is that just because of the hydraulic reservoir on the winch trucks? If that's not in the way, couldn't you just add a second main tank?

The M923A2 I picked up from Barstow on Monday started honking intermittently. Was alarmed at first, then figured out that the horn was shorting out somewhere in the steering wheel. Would go on/off when I turned. haha.

Jatonka, how are you planning on making the housings? Cast? Maybe we could team-up to design a locking hub body that would function sorta like the hubsteps I designed for the deuces. Just picked up an M923A2 yesterday and would love to put a set of locking hubs on it, but they look too...

Sure, or an air or hydraulic cylinder or whatever you want. I'm almost certainly going to do this. Picking up an M923A2 on Monday and I'm mounting an M109 box on that, but pretty sure we'll end up buying a tractor next. Would have been this week if the auctions hadn't gotten all messed-up when...

Take a look at that listing in the classifieds section. Think the prices we're asking put them in the 'sell like hotcakes' category, right? Even after adding transportation costs. Not asking for any favors, willing to give someone an even bigger discount if they want to buy in quantity and...

Yup. Some of those winch tractors with less than 100 miles on them sold for less than $3000.

We've got a lot of towbars and I was thinking it would make sense to send a bunch of them back east. Dunno how many, guess it all depends on demand, But maybe 25? 50? 75? More? Anybody running loads from CA (bay area) back east...
