Got the engine back and ready for paint. Now I'm working on getting the transmission cleaned and painted. Gotta get funds up so I can order seals, gaskets, clutch, mounts, etc. Then get it mounted to the frame.
Pulled the drain plug on the transmission and water then the nasty fluid came out. There is some minor rust on the gears. Everything else seems fine inside it. Does anyone know if it would hurt to fill it with purple power and let it soak for a bit then drain and rinse it out? Trying get all the...

I'm seriously looking into going to the GA rally. Never been but everything I've seen about the past rallys makes it look too good miss. If I can get the duece registered and trustworthy I might take it and bring the Mutt or Mule also. Maybe all three never know.

I also have my ties to Stewart County. The display on my Avatar was from Vets Day 2011 at Bear Springs Baptist Church. I've seen alot of people in the Memphis area but it really is a good distance, especially in a MV.

I know that feeling too well. I see so many that I want to save but the funds just don't spread out far enough. That and the people you run into that think their field find (rusted out) is worth the price of a restored one.
