I've been hearing about this legendary BBQ for a couple of years. I finally think I have coming worked out then this. Gheesh. All you need is some lag bolts and gate hinges.
Feel better Pat, good luck on the ball and socket procedure.
I have the same steel topper on my trailer. It bolted right on. It's steel so it weighs a bit. I'd guess about 300#. I love mine. The trailer has a very small solar panel and an 8AH battery to run LED lights in the back. They are quite useful.
Rear tire width is a major issue with the tenten. I have 255/85R16 tire on Ford 7" wide steel rims. They are about as close to the body as I am comfortable with. 255 is a little over 33". Pics of mine here.

Wow, good deal. I've been told mine is an A2 but it's not. I put the CUCV tires on it. It has the wider fender spacing and stepped axle. I really love the composite lights added to the topper on yours. Might copy that.

Wrecker project died. Bed was scrapped and the truck sold in FL. Current owner got a great truck and here is where it's going.
The red flat bed dump is getting back halved. Rick, I do have the back half of an M1008 frame as the donor.
I hope you didn't hurt (glaze) your new shoes. The lower adjustments can be a pain but are necessary. Park it until you have time to pull the hubs and inspect. From there follow adjustments in the TM and post questions here if you need help.
I have had the covers John (jatonka) makes and don't recall an issue with the smell. They fit well and wear good. I also did the new lower cushions from Gimp and like those much better.
Frame rust, to each his own. I'm back halving my V30 this summer for rust abatement. Finding a 159" frame is...
I've related this story before. There was a commercial farm in FL that had a fleet of M1008s they used. Monthly one would go missing and then get recovered with no front axle. Guess they didn't realize the rear had a Detroit NoSpin.
