I bet that your truck is an 87' or 88' model and someone put the wrong data plate on it. Those parts are too cleanly installed for someone else to have cobbled it together.
If you bob it, a midget will jump through the window, kick your teeth in, set your leg on fire, and then run away laughing at you.
Seriously don't do it... everyone will hate you.
Sorry for all your troubles AB. Hope you get it all sorted and in order shortly. Was your truck serviced before it was shipped to you? Brake wheel cylinders replaced, and the like?
Yeah. Next year they start giving titles and transferring full ownership of the vehicles to the departments after three years of possession. No longer will they have to go back to forestry.
Right. It shouldn't run rough unless it is really cold out, and then they clear up as soon as the cylinders get a bit warm. Usually less than two minutes
Something to do with NFPA, all surplus are no longer considered safe for department use, as well as other trucks over a certain age (ten years I think). It's been a while since our chief told us about it. That's when we turned in our last couple of surplus trucks.
No, something isn't right. None of my trucks have ever done that above thirty degrees. You have an air leak in a fuel line somewhere. You should be able to bump the button and have it come right up to a smooth idle.
Left Twright's shop with s280 shelter in tow at around 2pm yesterday and got in at 3:45 this morning. Found out the brakes were dragging on the M1061 the whole time. No wonder it felt heavier than it used to. Got that sorted out around Lafayette, just had to get the air tank drain to stop...
It helps to fill the leading edge of the seam with a sealer or glue as well. It keeps the wind from getting under the edge and lifting the vinyl away from the plastic.
