A 5T fifth wheel is the same size as a com'l trailer, only problem you will run into is getting the trailer on the truck, then you run into overall height issues.
A good thread to read. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?163057-M932-M1088-Fifth-Wheel-Height-vs-commercial-truck
After reading the schematics for the load tester, going to give it a run on 240/416 and see if i can get a load on 3 legs.
Well 240/416 didnt work at all. I think this load is just old and grumpy. Got l2and l3 to load for a minute then l3 quit. So i guess i will get the load in the shop and...
Well load testing didnt go so well, could only get my load tester's magnetic switch to work on L2, I could only get part of them to work.
After manually closing and opening the magnetic switch (with no power on) I did get it to pull 10KW on L2.
IMO if you are going to charge me storage fees after 8 business days, then you should be open for pickup during those 8 business day. I am not saying you have to have a body on site 5 days a week, but be AVAILABLE to load 5 days, or heck, 4 days a week.
well crap, delay of game until tomorrow afternoon, the fuel gauge decided to read zero, so i will have one here tomorrow.
How long is a good load test at 100%? 50%? The tm doesnt say anything about time.
I did not, they were a pita to get in the terminals anyways. I may try that before i hook up the second 805b for a load test. I only have 1 100amp cable with bare wires on one end.
I have a manual, it was in the tm storage on the door. Will try to figure out how to scan it to a pdf. I have a 8' ground for my 50kw that i will ground everything to, might even pour some water on it for good measure
Got them all ready to get load tested, scooted the jenny back on the trailer.
This is the load tester I will use, just hope its big enough. And going to use the 100amp plugs and connectors rather than try to guess the right sized aluminum.
I will get a better photo of the 100 amp...
We wired our yard light only on the grid power side, that way when the yard light is on, grid power is back on. And it helps our local electric coop guys to know if we have power, or are running on jenny power.
I sure would have been nice to have know that they were going to be closed on Friday, now I have to take off work on Monday so I can finallize a purchase from GovPlanet. What a waste.
I have been trying to get ahold of GovPlanet to finalize a purchase from Wed and the phone says they are closed? What? They are supposed to be open til 5pm Pacific.
So am I missing something here? Did I work on a holiday and didnt know it?
I dont think with this build it could pull that many amps, there isnt anyway to load that small squirrel cage that much. I could see how it would pull that much with the original fan and housing, small intake hole size and even smaller exhaust hole size.
