    What is a fair price

Last one I quoted for a member came out to about $1.37 a mile for me to move it with my truck, but that was when fuel was still less than $3/gallon. Same trip now would run about the same price, but less profit on my part. That was running empty from NC to Winnsboro SC,picking up a M35A3 and...

    M 54 Multifuel 465 a1 engine question

Just guessing here, but did you measure the fuel pressure at the bleeder valve at the top of the fuel filter housing on the side of the engine,if so 50 to 65 psi is normal for any multifuel,I think the return spring on the side of the injection pump head is set to open at 75 psi or so. But I...

Why GL Deuces have no Brakes

Ok, After reading through this thread twice,it seems the culprits are seeming to be the spring loaded check valve that most deuces(and 5 tons) have installed on the M/C cap and the afore mentioned square shouldered wheel cylinder cup springs. I guess this explains why my GMC deuces sit for...

    Tractor recovery from Jonesborough TN

Well folks,i took the 915A1 and the lowboy to Jonesborough today to pick up a 4600 Ford tractor I purchased to use around the house.

HELP! m211 wont shift out of 1st

Most likely the governer weights are cruddy and stuck in place or the control valve is the same, cruddy and not able to work properly. Bu,as with all Hydramatics, check the trans pressure first, the procedure is covered in the TM which has been uploaded here.

HEMAT vs. M345 vs. M1076 trailers

Hmmm, that was not the trailer I was thinking of 11 Echo, I was thinking of a M989 ammo trailer evidently. http://www.easternsurplus.net/images/538/538b.JPG

HEMAT vs. M345 vs. M1076 trailers

Ok,just curious if you had snagged a 916 recently without us knowing. The HEMAT sounds and looks like it would be the best choice so far,M345s are getting somewhat scarce, that 54 inch deck height is a problem as well.

    Turbo part number/ID

Actually, there are 2 different turbos used on the ENDT 673 Mack, the early(and much larger) turbo looks like the early LDS turbo w/no wastegate and the later is smaller both on the drive and compressor end, still no wastegate. I'll try to post pictures later.....

I gotta ask,why no fifth wheel trailer?

    First load- 4500gallons WVO

I know someonw that would sell you a reliable road ready M915A1 that is somewhat cosmetically challenged for a decent price:mrgreen:. Then I could go buy a M916 or 920 to use with the lowboy. Rig looks great Adam!!

    Overkill Customs M920 Build

Ron,I ONLY used it when shifting from 3rd to 4th,and I was the only person to drive that truck with the pump that way. I changed it back to stock when I sold it. I don't reccommend it to anyone,it is a LOT of RPMS for a 250,If I blew it I would chock it up to my not watching the tach while...

    Overkill Customs M920 Build

I would guess a #10 Jeff ,that number sticks in my head from my M816,if memory serves it bumps your governed engine speed to 2450 to cope with that dreaded 3 to 4 shift. Maybe Will Wagner will chime in here. Nice truck BTW,I wish I had a 916 or 920,haven't run across the right one yet.

    Deuce from MD to SC

I could probably haul it on the lowboy, but it would probably not be cost effective given the current fuel price of $3.28 average. I have a 915A1 tractor and M172A1 lowboy just in case.

    M54A2 recovery

Well folks, despite the weather(30 degrees,rain/sleet/snow mix,no shop) I finally got to hear the A2 run with a turbo today, and got to take it on it's first drive(no top or heater). I was impressed with the power this particular multifuel has,and with the amount of black smoke it puts out,I'm...

    What's high mileage for a M915A1

:ditto: With proper servicing I think a 915,915A1,916 or a 920 would easily make it to the 500,000 mark.
