I will be running down to Blythewood(just north of Columbia) and back home on Sat,but i'll be running up I-77 vs I-95.
Depends on your route taken home and departure time,I could stick with you for a section of your trip.
Well, mine has never shifted below 4th on any serious hill, just as soon as it completes the shift it is gaining speed once again.
Most times it never falls below 45 mph,and that is grossing 80,000 lbs.
Bobtailed or empty trailer, you pull out and pass most of those trucks governed to 62 to...
I know I have said it before, but i'm gonna TRY and make it this year(again).
More than likely i'll be driving the 915 with some type of van or expando trailer in tow, maybe a jeep or Mule inside.
470 miles from here to Laurel Indiana, about 9 hrs with stops for fuel and food.
Nice score David[thumbzup]
BTW,is that another V8-300 sitting in the background there? If you ever decide to get shed of another M123,I might be seriously interested.
All I found wrong with the 915 was the connector just inside the fender against the firewall was corroded up,I just unscrewed it and cleaned the connectors with some PB Blaster and put it back together, problem solved.
that or the rear of the 915s headlights are exposed connectors,not...
This engine is popular with hotrod enthusiasts because it delivers tremendous power for an inline six engine, is truck built with a heavy cast block, and can take quite a bit of abuse.
They don't call em "stove bolts" for nothing!!
Charlie,
Trust me I was really taking it easy with the 915 on the way home,it's still only a 63 mph truck(that's at 2350 rpms)but it really gets there quick, plus mine has had some "improvements" to the injection system.
Ron is correct,
Me personally,I won't run WMO in anything except our WMO heater at work, even with multiple pass filtering it still leaves micron sized particles in,plus just filtering will not weed out the acids and other liquid contamanants in the WMO.
The Mack injection pump differs from...
1 word,NO NO NO NO!!!!!
It may work OK for a while, but considering the type of IP that is used on the Mack and the cost to rebuild it($1800-$2000),it's not worth the small savings in price.
Nice score Adam, hopefully i'll see it in a few weeks(gotta make a trip to Joe Trapp's place).
BTW,what's the story on the SC Trooper behind you in 1 pic?
I agree with Westy and Lane, definetly a M211,judging by the bumper placment,it is(or was) a winch model,If it's not too hacked up and the engine/trans is still OK probably $500 to $800 if it has a good clear title.
for some reason these GMCs are really starting to come outta the woodwork lately.
Hello folks,
I have a PRC 25 manpack radio that used to work(recive/transmit) properly, but on the way to Aberdeen last year it just stopped,it powers up as it should, but it doesn't transmit or recieve any more. I use it in both modes, manpack and in a AM-2060 power supply/amplifier in my Deuce...
That would be John's truck(EMD567?) he has been waiting on his EUC for a while,it cleared while he was at the GA rally.
Hmmm,NJ to SC in November,in the rain no less!!
good thing it has a hardtop and heater.
