    Possible weak battery info needed.

A2 fuel cut solenoid has 2 coils within it, pull and hold, hence the 3 wire connector on it. The MW pump fuel cut lever driven by this solenoid is either in the run or stop position. It really can't cause rough running from hanging in the middle. OP, as long as oil pressure shows above...

    Possible weak battery info needed.

Your battery situation should not affect the way the engine runs. It sounds like your losing the prime in the fuel line, and it is worse the longer it sits. When these trucks have air in the fuel system, that is exactly how they run.

    Threw a Torque Rod today

Interesting. Thanks. That helps to validate the washer idea.

    Threw a Torque Rod today

Yep. That's exactly how it went. The bone tossed going over the peak of a sand hill. It was the lower right of the rear most axle. 3" ratchet straps were able to pull it back into location, but I could not get the arm back on. So I used a 3" ratchet strap in each the forward and rear...

    Threw a Torque Rod today

Thanks Tom, it is helpful. Sorry I did not check all references before posting, even this thread fully. Sometimes when something of this nature happens it can be an immediate oh s%#t moment.

Put me on the list. Anybody do a retention method? Bolt/washer?

All 5-tons: Heavy Duty Torque Rod Ends

Just slipped a bone and had it trash a day of off-roading 5 minutes into the trip. What is the story on these replacement ends? Anybody else use them? Like how they can't pull through, concern would be ball/socket seperation, as mentioned by others earlier. I'm considering to just improve my...

Just want to make sure you're comfortable when you come up for snowmobiling in January.

Killing NHC 250s -what we have learned killing 3 of them.

VGT turbos make a good attempt at giving the best of both worlds. Coolant eats bearings quickly, like pouring acid on them. You may also be onto something with altutude if the PT pump does not reference atmospheric pressure. Pretty old technology, so I doubt it does? 8.3's have blowers...

    M925a2 Power Surge

Happy 4th. Not much update. Acquired the mil 8.3L oil pan, pad mount brushless 105 amp alternator and high capacity pad mount A/C compressor for the ISL. New oil pan heater element also (M22 x 1.5 thread), NAPA p/n KAT 30910 (fits 8.3L if anybody wants one)...

Killing NHC 250s -what we have learned killing 3 of them.

His engine does seem to run well. I would trust his judgement on NHC 250 PT pump work and fueling mods for sure, considering how many miles he has put on his vs the performance I saw his truck have. I was impressed with how well it took off with stuff in the bed and a big heavy trailer in tow...

Injection pump oil change? Bosch MW

Sweet. You'll have the fastest injection pump in town. PM returned. Sorry I'm late on that. Delco clones almost all that is left, but they appear to be working well, and are reasonably priced, with warranty.

I probably should not say anything huh?

Injection pump oil change? Bosch MW

The 8.3L oils its pump through a small hole in the back side of the timing cover, through the pump flange mating surface. Once it fills up to the pump shaft, it overflows out the front of the shaft bearing and back into the timing case. This is a very slow process, and why the manual says to...

Want to put A/C in a M925A1... anyone got pictures of their install?

40F degree outlet is about the best possible. Consider it done and successful. That is a 40 degree temp drop compared to ambient. Nice job.

    M925a2 Power Surge

You could just use a resistor to drop the voltage to the clutch, but I use a high volume compressor anyway, capable of 33,000-40,000BTU of cooling, so it was getting changed regardless.

    M925a2 Power Surge

Well, just one thing shiny. The ISL alt, A/C compressor, and starter were all 12v since it was a US on-road vehicle (RV), so they are now off and in the scrap bin. Alt was 12V 160A Leece. Starter was old type Delco, and compressor was Sanden. Free for local pickup, will cost you if you...

    M925a2 Power Surge

Yep, and you're spot on, they will. It will be the only clue to 400hp and 37psi of factory VGT boost, so let em'. I just bought a used alternator, and can't really make use of my own A/C compressor bracket that so many of you enjoy. Both are modern 4 bolt pad mount type. Avatar pic is about...
