JP, I see Ferro is there but after reading about his horrific recovery, I need you to check on something for me. Was he able to recover some Natties (Cheap Beer) in his journey's or do I need to plan to bring more than enough. No worries either way, I don't want to kick a man while he is down...
Anyone interested in a set of 5 HMMWV wheels (12 bolt) and Tires (37X12.50) with runflats. New, never installed. Let me know, I won't load them unless someone shows interest or makes an offer, $650 delivered to Durhamtown. See pics, I'd like to sale all of them but am open to selling them...
Ok, Deuce is back on for the trip. Brakes are stronger than they ever have been after installing new MC and Air pack. And yes, I do know what the trap door on the driver's side floor of the cab is for  On to checking the rear axle breathers, oil levels and an afternoon with the grease...
Well, after reading all of the last minute things to go wrong, I considered myself lucky until today. Murphy has struck my motorpool. I took the Deuce for a trip to the gas station this morning, drove home and began my more extensive PMCS. All fluids were good but I had a light clear oily...
An update, the Mod that I might have sent the CD to apparently is having issues uploading them to the site. He's going to pass the CD off to another Mod at the GA Rally so they should be on here within the next 2 weeks to the pleasure of the folks who have these trucks. And of course, this is...
I got the u bolts loose finally, lots of rust on them. The fronts came out easy, the rear ones were the pain. The passenger side rear came out with a jack pushing up on the long side of the rear u-bolt. The driver's side required bolting the front u-bolt back in place and then working from...
I'll be trying this trick this evening. I worked on the drivers side for about 15 minutes last night and couldn't get the axle to come loose from the springpack. I started late and ran out of daylight so we'll try this again in the evening.
The lack of votes probably indicates that most people, myself included, have likely never changed the shocks. I don't even think the spring pack compresses over bumps on road in the front with the way mine feels. Maybe I need shocks as well!!!
has anyone checked "Proud Americans" hood latches or are we still leaving that as part of the Driver PMCS? Just chiming in, ready to go and "You Dang right, I'm going to check them!!!" I don't care what Soldier A and B say, she will get a proper PMCS this go around even if they assure me it's...
mine's still running strong. Just have an oil leak on the passenger side of the front head gasket but have been told that it's not really an issue, just keep an eye on the oil and keep it topped off!!! I haven't had to add anything noteworthy to top off.
I stand by my statement the the site mods know the legal system better than I!!! It's over 25MB, they have it and they'll post if it they decide they can. I'm not going against the grain, I enjoy this site and don't want to be banned.
Respectfully,

I need to add, some of the mods think they need to look at the legality of posting them. I think they should be fine as the trucks are obsolete and going into civilian hands. Footnote to that though, some of the mods understand the legal system better than I do, If they do not post the TM's...
Gents, I mailed an electronic copy on CD of the MK 48 TM's to a mod on here. If they decide that they are allowed to post them, they will. Give it a few days, hopefully they rule that they can post them.
Mine had good numbers marked when I got it. If I repaint, I'll put them back. My first encounter with a Deuce was C-4, the supply truck of 1-64 Armor during our invasion into Iraq. I would use those numbers but that truck was desert tan and I prefer a woodland camo truck. I did install a C...
A little late but very interesting book katahdin!!! My truck never weeped oil from the front head until I pushed her hard by towing some 5 tons. Perhaps the Multi us just not suited for towing heavier loads. It seems to have subsided for now as it only tows a M105.
it's an Allison unit that was up to the Military Specs and the Wrecker Variant has the exact same trans and it was designed to at minimum pull another M936 behind it. It's got a good trans in it. The A2's have over 100 pounds of torque over the NHC250 powered trucks and the trans is not a weak...
If you need more power, turn the fuel up. Install a pyro to ensure you don't melt it. Mine runs stronger with a C turbo on a LDT. I used to argue against the crowd that suggests that the turbo was to clean up the exhaust of these motors. In time, I understood that the LDS's have other...
I'd get another set of 14's for it if you're going to keep it stock. I pulled a 23,000 pound truck (M818) behind a M936A2 and it had power to spare!! The 6CTA motor can get a cheap tune up and pull the 16's and I'd likely go that route if it was my truck. I just don't have one in my backyard...
