Joseph,
When were you in Ann Arbor?
Also can someone with a better knowledge of the brakes system tell me if one could just run a long air line back to the rear service line to get brakes on a towed deuce? Like the 5 tons, or does the front service connection on the 5 tons go to a special...
Are you lubing it up with soapy water? I can't offer any better advice than lube it with soapy water. I have not broken one all the way down since I was in the Army so that was a while ago.
Not yet but I am looking. I need the driver's side bad. I may have to fab up some patch panels. Some I could take from the deuce fender I am taking off.
I would have done better pulling the deuce with the five-ton but I did not want to get an insurance binder on the 5 ton until I get the sf-97. I would have switched them if I had a major problem with the deuce.
Lane,
Did you need fenders for you five ton also?
Some unauthorized jagged holes lined by corrosion. I might be able to patch them. The last inspection report gives me all the NSN's I need to get to make it 100%. The biggest ticket items were the fenders and the mud flaps. Everything else is seals hear and there. The biggest thing is a main...
Just got back around 8pm. Everything went good. It took about an hour and a half to hook up the truck and remover the disconnect the drive shafts. GL guy was nice and was willing to stay to help if needed. I told him we had it covered. They let me work and did not bother me at all. We drove...
RE: m1009 Electrical heck
When you say you replaced the alts, did you put in isolated ground alternators or just some replacements from the parts store.
Think good thoughts and someone keep Murphy busy. Tomorrow I take the deuce to pick up the M818. Pics to follow. Guys in OH go to threat condition red.
RE: cD
Thats the OCR part of the process. Optical Character Recognition. This turns the picture of a page into individual words teh computer can see. As stated before, Kinkos can do it.
I think Memphis made a conversion kit to make a t-case manual. I am sure someone in the know will chime in but I am pretty sure it was engaged with a lever.
RE: Re: RE: Cable Lube ?
I like graphite because it does not gum up. We used about 8 tubes when I was getting cars ready for pinewood derby. I even put is on the outside of the wheels to cut down on rolling resistance. It worked. The last time out we had a win, second place, and fifth place...
If I do end up going I can probably work on both your requests. I just need a back up in case I can't make it. When I know for sure I will let you guys know. Maddawg needed to know so he knew what to pack.
I have a command tent and an M105 landing leg I need to get back to Michigan or closer. Maddawg is going to be at Aberdeen but I am not sure if I can get of work yet to go. Anyone going that can get this stuff for me and haul it back this way? Naturally I will kick in some beer/gas money...
