I have a bigger question. Why are you worrying about this on a 70 degree day? This sounds like fall work to me. Spring work should be getting it ready for the trail ride.
One option is to get the vehicle titled as an assembled vehicle with a state issued vin number. In Michigan and a most other states if a vehicle is so heavily modified that it does not look like the original then it must be retitled as an assembled vehicle. Small mods are no problem but for the...
I always go for the lowball bid. Most of the time I put in a low ball bid on GL. Sometimes it holds up. I have only bid seriously on a couple of trailers.
I think Medlog was kindly telling you to get the -20 in the manual section. The -20 will have wiring diagrams to supplement the info above. Look for the following:
TM 9-2320-289-20
If you have trouble finding the actual arms you might try the Napa or Anco universal replacement arms. They use modern wiper blades and work much better than the stock arms and blades. Check the tech articles section for wiper upgrade. I did the change on my deuce recently and the new set up...
The name on the window was pretty standard when I was in. The driver goes on the driver's side and the vehicle commander goes on the passenger's side. It does not really signify anything except the guy was to lazy to remove it before the truck was turned in. When ever I was assigned to another...

RE: HELP! More transmission/clutch problems
Do a search. Someone posted Napa numbers for the gaskets. Most of the time you just add a gasket or two to get clearance. There was also a great thread on setting the PTO backlash with is what you are doing by adding the shims.
I am just excessive compulsive for doing things stock. I think I am going to go with 12 inches. I got the line today and will be putting my tank back together tomorrow. I also had a problem with the pot metal drain plug breaking a few months ago. I am taking care of that also. The tank was...
The one pics should be an M816 or 819. I could not see it well enough. I would say M816 since the operator does not have a cab. It is not a gasser unless he took out the cummins. I need those fenders.
There is s bleeder on the end for "bench" bleeding. I just went though this. He said he tried that bleeder.
Rocco, insects like to clog the bleeders. Did you take the bleeder completely out and check to make sure it is not clogged? If there is no fluid coming out of the big line from the back...
I finally got around to working on my fuel tank. I asked about tapping for a fuel heater in a separate thread. I now have found out that the tank side of the fitting will accept a 3/8 metal line. I know that the pickup tube does not go all the way to the bottom so the heater will get clean fuel...
RE: Questions on a Duece
They will lock up right up to the point that the pedal goes straight to the floor. It is a single reservoir and when the fluid is gone it is gone for all the brakes. Newer Air Force trucks have a two chamber master cylinder but most of our trucks do not have this setup...
