I'll be dropping it off at your...
Growing up, we didn't have much money, Dad was disabled and Mom took care of Dad. Whenever we needed something we either made it ourselves or it wasn't that important. We made a lot of odd ball stuff out what most people would call junk. One persons junk is anothers treasure.
Soldier B...
For most lifting jobs, I need somthing tall and capable of holding the piece/part in place. This soldier B is used for everything fom changing tires to removing and replacing generators. I got it from a sale (yard) for $50. It was supposedly made by Boeing for use on one of the missile...
Hi
Thought I'd try starting a new thread about adaptive measures / tools and equipment used to replace the infamous "Soldier B". I'm a one person shop, and I've got some (OK a lot) of physical challenges. I have to come up with new ways or slightly modified ways of getting a two person, and...

Another nice day...global warming has finally arrived:jumpin:! Got the wheel cylinder, brake drum and all associated parts on. Bad news..torn inner boot and it's the rubber type, no zipper. I'm not taking the whole thing back apart. I've got 4 of the brand new rubber type, maybe someone...
Good day in SE Wyoming, sunny, warm and hardly any wind..Pure heaven! Got most of the brake job done. All that's left is the adjustments and put the wheel back on. In case any of you are limited in your physical abilities as I am, I've attached pictures of a device I made using a floor jack and...

Weather was fantastic:mrgreen:! Used the time to clean out all the crap (literally) from all the nooks and crannies of the truck. Emptied out the tool box (filthy), washed out the Bed of 95% +/- (dirty) and removed the floor plugs in the cab and turned on the hose after removing a big...
Beautiful Truck and Awsome pictures!!!, Thank you! These as well as the other pics of trucks are going in a reference book for me to use. The TM's are OK but black and white photos just don't cut it.
Didn't get to work on the truck yesterday but everything is off the axle. Yup it was a blown cylinder. I've got the parts to rebuild it as long as it's rebuildable. Hope to know that sometime today. Got to go into town and argue with the gooberment. Not a fun proposition. I ain't forgot your...
