It looks like we will have wait to see the final draft. But one thing I do know about politicans is never trust their opinion , because the next guy that wants a different opinion they will tell them their opinion matches what they want to here.
Somebody went out of their way to exclude MV's...
I'm not really sure I like it , there are some things that are alright but others that are not.
As it is wrote Must be 25 years old , so nothing newer than 1993 at this point.
It also has all the restrictions of current classic plates ( no cargo ect. )
But also does not allow for unlimited...
Personally I think the "the verify your story" is extreme , but these type of things are usually bought on by abuse of the current rules. If you want to use a vehicle for daily driving or commercial purposes buy the right plates .
Or with the internet it was added by someone who spends time on classic cars sites and has read enough " my car (or whatever you drive) is on display every time I drive it" posts. You even see that line of thinking on motorcyle sites because they want cheap insurance .
Just to clarify , the reason I want to see it first is I won't support a bill that limits use of MV's that have been sold without any restrictions and can be plated however you want now , so HMMWV's that were sold with a "OFF ROAD ONLY" clause can be registered.
1.) I don't feel CUCV, 5 TON...
When you copy and paste to black type it makes it really hard to read on a OD background.
I fixed this one for you .
Also I want to see a copy of the Bill before I support it , some of these bills to get HMMWV's registered are hurting deuce and 5 ton owners.
attached 1st section showing...
It looks like they don't allow personal use with a farm plate so that probably won't work.

Here is the PDF. of SB 1264
It pretty much only allows fire departments or government agencies to register former military vehicles that don't meet the FMVSS.
Maybe it has something to do with the 50 mph minimum speed on rural sections of turnpikes.
OklahomaIn Oklahoma, the maximum posted speed limit is 75 miles per hour on turnpikes and 70 mph on all other freeways. Most other rural highways, divided or undivided, have a 65 mph speed limit...
The main part that stops doing this is the dual circuit master cylinder mount , they are non existent . There have been
several members that have looked into having them reproduced , but haven't found a economical way to do it. I think if search member Peashooter"s threads he may have a thread...
I don't know about the $2500 ones , but I have seen some they listed with a short warranty and dynoed.
probably a crap shoot like a gov auction.
It's been quite few years but have had good luck with Adelmans in ohio.
Welcome to SS, the best thing to do is keep reading threads . With the exception of the dual alternators and 24 Volt starter and related start system , they are just a 1984 J code K5 blazer (all were built to 1984 specs). They are pretty much done coming out of government auctions except for...
Adelman's truck parts in chicago is advertising low hour gov't surplus complete turbo 8V92's for $2500.
