    Best Lift Kit for m1009?

I have the hd's up front as well and they ride good. I've got a steel line winch tucked up in my frame rails (weighs nearly 100lbs with plate and longer cables for the relay box).

Made in the USA, even their shocks.

    Best Lift Kit for m1009?

I have tuff country springs. Nice and flexy but more than stable on the road.

M1009 with 35" tires no lift.

I don't have any problems with my 2" spring lift and 33" tires. Really it's when i'm fully articulated and I've got my wheels cut to that side. I think with some careful trimming it would be a non issue.

M1009 with 35" tires no lift.

Yup, I rub with my wheels turned Offroad with my 33's and a 2" lift. Rubs on the back corners of the front fenders.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Excellent. Interested in how you'll route your exhaust. I'm not happy with mine really. I have it running on the outside of the frame and dumping in front of the rear wheel. I trimmed the rear battery tray and moved it closer to the fender enough to clear everything.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Added some ammo can organizers to my 50cal "tool box" in the m1009. I'd post pics but it's not letting me.

Indiana to Colorado with 5 ton

Good luck and have a safe trip. I went from Illinois to colorado about a year ago in my M1009, not the same but slow, loud and long nonetheless.

hey, there is a rock in the road.....

Got it. I ran mine with a straight 3" pipe that dumped in front of the rear wheel, hated it. Put the biggest glass pack I could fit in it and it's much better but still loud. I need to get a downpipe re worked that goes between the engine and frame so I can run full length exhaust again and have...

hey, there is a rock in the road.....

I dislike straight piped 6.2's. I wish I could fit a larger muffler on mine....too loud. This truck sounds good.

Recommendations for a fairly long drive

Ah yes I forgot to say fuel/vacuum line. I always keep a bunch in my truck and have used it on occasion (silly trans vacuum tube)

Recommendations for a fairly long drive

I did a 1,000 mile trip when I moved from chicago to denver over the summer. I brought, jumper cables, spare belts, spare fuel filter, general tools, air compressor (have an mv50). I also wired up a cigarette lighter so I could keep my phone charged. Only thing I wish I would of brought was a...

    6.5L Turbo refit

All I did on mine is cut the can in half, thread the rod with a die and then use a lock nut to tension the spring. I'm hitting 10psi at wot (a touch more when cold)

Replacing the worn Strike Bolts in the door of your M1009

Hmmm interesting. I wasn't even aware that the strikers were supposed to have plastic. My hinges all seem solid but my strikers are starting to wear flat.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I tried heating up the crossover and using vise grips and that didnt work. Welded on a nut and it snapped off on the inside of the nut. Ended up drilling it out and tapping it. Used PLENTY of anti-seize on it.
