Hey Heavy.I have a deuce just s.w. of Nashville that needs to come up to N.E. Ohio. 610 miles. It is running but by time I drive back down and drive both vehicles back,it may cheaper just to have it hauled.Let me know if you need a partial load coming up this way.
I get the pleasure of calling somebody at Ft. McClellan to find out what year and make these rigs are.
Hey Omega.Congrats on the trucks. Why do you say Ft.McClellan? Isn't the vehicle registration program at Redstone?
Not a problem Ty.Any time.
So here is the story.I ran down to Memphis to drop off a propeller for a customer.(Skip Stewart Airshows).Made it to Ty's by early afternoon Sunday.First step was swapping the batteries out.Cranked over great. No smoke out of the pipe.So no fuel.So we removed the...
I really like the looks ( kind of between my 923 and 915) and all of the luxury items. And to finally have a duece with no rust holes....Even though I only have about 1/2 miles on it,I wasn't impressed with the steering or the brakes. The steering seemed to have too much play in it in order work...
I hear ya emmado.I thought that I would try a deep "drill sergeant" voice but they have probably heard all of the tricks.:-D Here are some before pictures. One is of Ty's M715.Very nice truck.
I finally made time to head to Tenessee to check out my A3 that M16ty hauled for me.It is in better shape than I expected.Body is just about perfect.Even has the fiberglass hood :-D.Found a couple of other parts missing as usual. With help from Ty and his dad (realy good folks),we had the Cat...
It's been a while but I was talking to Paul B. also about these trannys.I recall him saying to pull the cover off of the air manifold and clean all parts and install new o-rings.Also add air tool oil to lubricate all of the valves as cundupa said. The shifter itself could be leaking air...
I realize that there are not too many A3's out there but can anybody with one get a few dimensions for me?I am trying to plan a trip down to Ty's and would like to have most of an alternator mount ready to use.Thanks.
I'll post a picture of what I have after work so that it can be identified.I'll be heading to Aberdeen if you happen to still need one by then to save shipping.
Need some help.Haven't had much luck finding a mount for the 3116 Cat so I am going to make one.Can any of you A3 guys snap a couple of photos of the bottom alternator mount and get a couple of reference dimensions.I have a list of some dimensions that include: over all length 7.810",height...
Yep.Sometimes you have to hold the starter switch just a few seconds longer after it starts until oil pressure builds up and the oil pressure switch will close to keep the shut-off solenoid engaged.
Guys.I am,and have been looking for one for a while. If you know where one is at for sale, please let me know.Looks like the only thing that is missing on that one is the windshield. All of the hard parts like high pressure air compressor,DC generator and winch are there.
