Jump in something non-military and come down for a few hours at least. The kid will love it. You can trail ride with someone else. There is plenty of room in the trail riding trucks. You know you can't wait another year.
When I was at Fort Benning in the 80's we had two M932A1's that had that issue. We turned them into 3rd Shop for a MWO and when we went to pick them up the mechanic that did the MWO said one truck had four bolts sheared off and the other had three. The ones on the top of the transmission seemed...
I have a buddy that bought two 5 tons with dropsides. He made a dumper out of one and sold the other. The buyer didn't want the sideracks and bows. He has two sets (no tarps). He's asking 300 each. He says they are in good shape but are wood not fiberglass. If anyone wants one or both I'll haul...
"Will not start" can mean a lot of things. Dead batteries, fuel issue, bad engine, fluids drained or that the GL people didn't even try to slave it off to see if it would crank. Got a pic of it?
When I was a trans unit at Fort McClellan we turned in our 800 series 5 tons for the new 900 series. They all had to be inspected by Third Shop Maintainence, have all of their Basic Issue Items, be running (unless they were deadlined), have serviceable tires and be driven or towed to DRMO. If...
When I got my first deuce my insurance company wanted a picture of my shop which I sent them. It had a big roll up door but was not wide enough for the deuce. I just sent them a pic of the deuce parked next to my shop and never had an issue.
Ok folks.....mat news. They are having a big yard sale along Hwy 411 in Alabama and I've been pimping off mats for the last two days. They are going fast but I should still have plenty for the rally since I have a pallet. I've found a few different styles and sizes but instead of posting pics...
Right now I have a M275, 2 M927's (one on loan), a M36 wrecker (also on loan), three van trailers and three other trailers here at Akenback Acres. Green acres is truely the place to be. I have 43 acres and unless I hit the lottery it won't all be filled with green iron anytime soon. City living...
Methinks you are correct Sir. When I was at Fort Benning we had two M916's, one had the CCC and one did not. The one without had been to 3rd Shop for a MWO and paint and came back without it.
The spring pack on a tractor is a lot heavier than a cargo truck. Unless you put a few thousand pounds of ballast in the bed it is going to beat your teeth out going down anything but a glass smooth road.
OK folks....I went back to my mat vendor today and stocked up on the items I previously posted. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I got some different items.
One is a large 6'x8' rubber mat. It would be ideal for a deuce bed or inside a S280 shelter. Price is 75.00 which is less than...
I have an ancient military PA system that I bring to the rally for announcements and playing an occasional military bugle call. As a rule we don't have background music playing during the rally.
You are welcome to bring it as a backup system as Murphy is always lurking.
Disclaimer!!!!!This is not a political comment.
Leave it to the Gooberment to screw up the best MV rally in the country. Politicians (of all stripe) could bugger up a free lunch.
