Does anyone on the forum know where I might find a PRC-117D battery box? Any configuration will do as I want to turn it into a vehicle power adapter. Dead batteries, corroded, as long as the case is intact it'll work for my project.
Thanks in advance
It may be behemoth but your going to have a world of fun out at Montauk with it. I spent a very memorable night out there once after high centering the Falcon in the middle of nowhere................
For a basic 998 truck the 12 bolt wheels are fine. When they started trying to make the HMMWVs into armored reconnaissance cars they had to upgrade the wheels to 24 bolt to give them more rigidity to handle the additional weight load and while they look pretty cool I wonder if they're worth the...

Any average mechanic can do it at home without pulling the trans. The most difficult part of the entire job is finding the shifter.
I've purchased plenty of military DOT5 silicon fluid over the years and in the gallon jug it comes in it does look purple but when you pour it into the reservoir it looks like antifreeze. Go figure. FYI, the front brake calipers on the HMMWVs are '87 Eagle calipers and you can get them almost...
For all the hassle it's easier to go online and find rebuilt units there. It's a miserable job and it's a whole lot easier to let someone who knows what their doing handle it. Basic A0 HMMWVs axles aren't that expensive. There are 3 sizes on your truck, the left front is the shortest, the right...
If that's a picture of your new truck you've got bias ply tires on it and they have a history of hop/shake if they've been sitting for more than a few hours. They develop a flat spot where the tire meets the pavement that eventually rounds out with some driving. It likes to manifest itself right...
I clicked on the link Suzucovich posted and had no trouble downloading the file on the Stanadyne pumps. It comes from a site called linksharing.samsungcloud.com. It's the most comprehensive listing I've ever seen on these IPs and they mention "supersession" a couple of times in the pdf. It's...
If your knowledgeable electronically and don't have to have a full blown military system what I did was to mount a Softcomm ATC-4PS aircraft intercom in a small military case to do my intercom. They're available at pretty reasonable prices used online and by wiring the output to military...
The earliest series of Prestolite control boxes used starter solenoids to switch the current out to the glow plugs and that's the "cluck" you hear when you turn on the ignition. That cycling keeps going until the glow plug control on the crossover manifold tells the PCB that the engine is over...
I agree 100% with this solution! Wish I'd thought of it myself. Pushing the thought you might be able to pick up a couple of TOW missile spare round brackets and mount the kegs in them......................
Go over to your local auto parts place and buy one of these stethoscopes and then carefully start poking around with it to figure out where the noise is coming from.
Your probably looking at air in the system because to repair shop was clueless about HMMWVs and didn't bleed the system. Make...
Personally I think your wasting your money but that's not for me to say. Preload the back end with a couple hundred pounds of sandbags and things will smooth out.
I have plenty of both LS166 and LS-454 speakers if you want one please PM me. The 2 speakers are basically the same but the 166 has a switch on the side for vehicle or manpack operation. I can supply them in any condition either with or without cords or I can put in a new cord any length you need.
A bad governor can cause the vehicle not to shift properly. Kits are inexpensive online and the job can be done in the vehicle. There is a plastic gear inside that can fail along with some springs that can let go or it can just be gummed up from inactivity. TM 9-2320-280-34 section 7 talks...
