    Gun Truck

There appears to be some interest in gun trucks. I found this picture in Dad's division book. Thought some of you might like to see on in action. I checked, nothing that would be bad for a family friendly site, just a truck shooting. It doesn't quite fit in the Deuce thread being a...

M35A2 LOTS of Brake questions - HELP!

Jake, you beat me to the punch line. First off, mixing fluids was beat into my head as a really bad thing. I never worked on trucks, I worked on helicopters. The fluids we used NEVER get mixed. That gives me a knee jerk reaction to always say, don't mix, if you do replace everything. I am...

M35A2 LOTS of Brake questions - HELP!

One other point...oil based lubricants, syntheitic or otherwise, eat silicone seals. Silicone usually leaves seals alone. If DOT 3, (oil based) went in the system, best bet is to replace every seal in the system. Better safe than "OH CRAP!!!"

M35A2 LOTS of Brake questions - HELP!

One of the brake threads discusses using alcohol (no not that kind, the stuff you CAN"T drink:lol:) to flush it out, then use clean DRY air to get the alcohol out. Do not use straight from an air compressor air, it has oil in it. To a certain degree, if you use a compressor, you'll contaminate...

another MV threatened by code enforcement

Gotta say I'm a little confused here. HOA's, code enforcement, police enforcement....where in the world are you folks living...Russia? In the service if you lived on base, you followed the rules. Don't like the rules, leave the base and live in town. Been there done that, hated it. Now live...

    Ellsworth Recovery- with Drama

Wow, Layton and Laramie in the same thread! Used to be stationed at Hill and just got my W/W yesterday from Bret. Good looking truck, with a heater, even better! Two of my trucks have the air wipers and need what you did to yours. How did you do that and what parts / dealer did you use?

    Split Ring Tire Change

walmart brand is great for any "rubber" based parts such as radiator hoses, fan belts, those nasty rotten little grommets that cables go through that are so small....you get the idea, but it works great...cheep too![thumbzup] No project is complete until an open wound has occured and said...

    New russian stealth

Appears less stealthy than a F-22. Too many straight flat surfaces. Probably some stealth based on material construction. Looks like a good target for an AIM -9....

Crushing a Car with a Deuce.

As a proud owner of both a 1964 Corvair Monza 900 and three M35A2's, I am greatly saddened by the video. That being said, it's his stuff (I hope). Destruction of historical things is just wrong in my book. This is why I collect and preserve old stuff. Some things need preserving for the...

Wyoming to Oregon and Back trip Report

First off, sorry no pictures. Second, drove a 2010 Ford pickup, not a MV. But that's the side story...here's the important parts: Found several Deuces and their variants in a few places. First is Idaho Motor Pool, just this side of the Oregon / Idaho border. HOLY SMOKES THEY GOT TRUCKS...

    D-Day MV get together

Last time I saw a bus like that was in 1981. If I remember correctly, it was a similar bus that picked us up at San Diego Interantional and took us to wonderful MCRD San Diego CA for 13 weeks of fun and games in sunny south CA. :not worthy: Same color, writing and everything. I might be off...

    Rear Main Seal leaking....again

only thing I can come up with if all else fails (and this is based on a different application) could the recess where the seal seats be worn to the point where it's out of tolerance, i.e. the hole is too big?

    D-Day MV get together

New entry security at Ft Polk

Do not attempt to take a firarm on any federal installation to include the VA (they have federal police as well). Every base I've been on (literally dozens of all 5 branches), may, repeat may, give an civilian a free bee if the gun is found, which is very likely. By free bee, I mean you don't...

    HMH 772, Det. A AKA HMH 769

Howdy Don't know if we have any MAG 42, NAS Alameda Marines roaming around on this site, but just in case, wanted to pass on some interesting information. The CH-53A helicopters assigned to Alameda in the late 70's and early 80's were all turned over to AMARC, sometime after I left. MS 481 to...
