I don't have any idea. But you can go to SearchTempest.com and put in how far from your ZIP code you want to search Craigslist ads. That's how I found this deal and how I found my Deuce. Very handy, and some good deals can be found. I typically scour SearchTempest once every couple of days...
Absolutely, my pleasure!
I'm going to demount my 11x20 tires and remount them on the Deuce wheels with bad tires. And now I have plenty of spares.
Be sure to tell them Warren from Las Vegas referred you, so they know to give you a good deal too. You won't be disappointed.
Only if you are towing commercially (i.e., you are being paid to do it). If you tow for personal (non-commercial) purposes, all you need is the appropriate endorsement for your DL.
When I haul my antique Caterpillars to California for antique tractor shows, my Class "F" endorsement (loaded...
VERY true, since you are a trained professional, licensed and certified to do that sort of thing. I wouldn't have any problem with that at all. [thumbzup]
I hope your trip will go as well as mine did.
Not many places I know of where you are encouraged to look around wherever you want, especially in the shop areas...nothing was off-limits while I was there, but I kept it respectful. I was very impressed.
I hope I can do business with Steve &...
They will definitely make it worth your while!
I'm going to demount the 11x20 tires from the 5-ton wheels and remount them to the Deuce wheels (the ones I got with bad tires; I'll dispose of these old/worn-out tires) for use on my truck...it has singled-out Goodyear G286 11x20 radials on it...
That's all I was trying to pass along: first-hand experience that could help other members...with all the other items I have to buy to get my Deuce road-worthy, it will be a while before I can afford to convert to Super Single radials. So, I know there are others in a similar situation as me...
I don't recall tearing into anyone pulling an M101 with a car. I might have made some recommendations with folks pulling M105 trailers with 1/2-ton or smaller pickups, but hey, that's their business.
My truck is a heavy-duty 3/4-ton with 1-ton rear suspension & axle. I also have Firestone air...
Yesterday I made a 650-mile roundtrip journey to San Clemente, CA (on the northern doorstep of Camp Pendleton) to check out some used 9x20 NDT tires on Deuce rims that were advertised for $25 each. The trip was well worth my time and fuel! Even with fuel and expenses added in, it was a great...
I just had the pleasure of visiting scyros35's shop to purchase some used NDT tires/wheels, and I must say WOW! What a first-class setup! I also got to look at Steve's trucks, and these are all first-class jobs.
If I was in the market for an MRAP replica, I gotta say, I'd definitely purchase...
In spite of the slow posting I've been busy fixing little things with my new Deuce: installed throttle pedal return spring; fixed engine shut-off cable; re-installed front towing shackles after cleaning the rust out of the mounting eyes; and replaced the shifter boot.
I've also been...
Those look like the two trucks stored on an old, idled mining operation in the Sierra Nevada mountains; I've seen photos on other websites, and I don't think that they're for sale. Caretakers live on property to guard the mining equipment, so be sure to check in and get permission first. IIRC...
Congratulations on a successful recovery! If it all went according to plan, then it wouldn't be very memorable...and think of the bonding between you & your buds while sorting everything out. Great story, thanks for sharing!!
That is a NIIIICE truck, good score! I'll be watching for the...
Hmmmm, seems there is some cross-confusion between the 2-cycle 53-series (3-53, 4-53, 6V53, 8V53) and the newer 4-cycle Series 50. The Series 50 is derived from the larger Series 60 4-stroke, but with 2 fewer cylinders. The Series 50 4-stroke usually features EGR and a few electronic controls...
