This "One Of A Kind" M35 that just sold at the most recent Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas must be gold-plated, although I only saw some chrome items:

Looks like you fellas need to step it up some: gloss paint (John Deere...
Glad to hear you were able to get her home; she's a good old truck, pretty solid and a good runner once you figure out that electrical issue.
Sorry I couldn't have met with you; my uncle passed away & his funeral was today (US Navy Vietnam Vet).
But you were in good hands with Mik & his wife...
Yes, all but one are in excellent shape! The other one has a couple of spots that are rusty, but nothing through-and-through. Only one axle had brake sticking issues and one has leaking axle seals. Other than that, nearly everything is almost-new. I'm very happy.
Just picked up my 5 M105A2 trailers today; since I live fairly close to Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, I asked Chris (the GL rep there) if I could just make 5 trips back & forth, instead of 2 trips loading the M105s onto my 24-foot flatbed. He said it was no problem, so here are pics of my 5 trips...
Once again, Chris Romby at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV, has come through as an outstanding GL employee. Chris bends over backwards to help customers with their items, including loading them carefully onto trailers or lifting them for customer tow-away/drive-away.
Chris demonstrates the...
I've got an 0800 appointment for next Tuesday July 5; I will make 2 trips since I only live about 20 minutes away from Nellis AFB. Better safe than sorry!
I'm just glad that you were OK and nobody got hurt! Whew!
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it, and yes, I've had things break on me more than once...that is why I like to build in my own redundancy, even on things that you wouldn't expect problems from. My luck runs contrary, and so I've...
Holy crap, my second EUC cleared in 14 calendar days...submitted 6/9, sent to Battle Creek 6/14, Customer Notified (cleared) today 6/23. Not bad!
Now I gotta figure out how to fit 5 M105 trailers onto my 24-foot flatbed trailer....
Turn up the fuel injector pump, install larger injectors, larger turbo, run 1/2-inch fuel supply & return lines all the way between the IP & tank, and install 5-inch or 6-inch exhaust with NO MUFFLER. It will be LOUD! Of course you'll probably need to upgrade your tranny & torque converter...
Ahhh, you are too kind! I really appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to help out & share knowledge/experience. It was all very much appreciated.
How did the tire store work out?
NoAccount, you'll do back flips when you see your new Deuce...I was amazed that there wasn't anything...
If you are looking for a B.O.V. then I'd suggest an M109 (6x6 with van shelter body mounted behind the cab). Get the multi-fuel engine, and there is a good thread going right now about running various fuels in Deuces in the Alternative Fuels section...
LOL! I feel your pain!
While helping fellow member NoAccount by checking out his Deuce at Nellis AFB today, I was able to check out 4 of the 5 M105s I won. They are in GREAT shape, I can't believe my fortune! One bed looks like it is either brand-new or recently overhauled (that one's a...
Another big thumbs-up to Chris of GL at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada; he's a great guy, very helpful, and a pleasure to deal with.
Plus it was fun watching him use a forklift to lift an M915 6x4 completely off the ground and place it on a semi-trailer.
Thanks Chris!
[thumbzup]
I can tell you that the brakes are in EXCELLENT condition and it shifts smoothly.
As I was driving into the DLA lot to meet Mik there to retrieve your Deuce, someone came out driving an M818, wearing a huge smile, and followed by a one-ton pickup pulling an empty gooseneck trailer...is...
SUCCESS! This Deuce is now parked at Airbornebandsman's house, nice and safe! Many thanks to BadMastard & Airbornebandsman, fellows like these 2 make Steel Soldiers a group to be proud of!! Thanks fellas!!
Airbornebandsman used his Deuce and slave cable to jump-start it; it fired right up...
That tells you just how dry it is out here! No kidding, you can almost watch tire sidewalls crack in front of you....tires typically last only 5-6 years here, and unless you drive A LOT, most tires get replaced here by age, NOT mileage.
I have a Deuce with a dump bed on it, and it needs...
