I'm still on my first cup of coffee this morning and not sure I follow. Are you implying that since others will pay more taxes (do to higher auction prices) then we might get a break in our tax bills? If so, I agree with mkcoen. The higher prices are only good for the tax collector.
Zout - You can't rush perfection! I can understand if someone were to get in a hurry, well... Who know's... This view of your M909 may have been posted >>>>

I had a similar issue recently. However, my steering gear box had Lucas in it and still leaked. I drained the box and re-filled with John Deere corn head grease.
One thing not mentioned in this thread.... A M35A3 could be the best of both worlds for you. It is a Deuce with an automatic transmission.
That being said. I completely agree with Scar59. Everyone should learn a manual transmission.
You are welcome.

The 5-Ton still made my Deuce feel small, even with the 395's on my truck...
EDIT: I got home to my PC and uploaded another picture.
It looks like a few other SS'ers have had their rides caught by satellites....

Howdy from the north side of Houston!
two.fiveM35 said it. There are a bunch of SS'ers in the Houston area. We try to meet-up from time to time. This is a good thread to monitor for upcoming events:

I echo the thoughts expressed above. You have a very nice looking truck!
My truck is titled as a 1972 Reo Motors. However, there are a few SS'ers (guys that are much more knowledgable than I) that have looked at my truck and concluded it is an old gasser. Their opinions were based on the...
I purchased my first MV on April 14, 1997. The Tie Plant Fire Department in Mississippi sold "my" Kaiser M715 to a resident of Hinds County, Mississippi who, in turn, passed it on to me. I purchased the truck sight-unseen and had it hauled to my home in Arizona. I still clearly remember that...
I suggest you check txdot.gov or your locally DMV.
That being said, it is my understanding that a Class B license is required for a vehicle with a GVWR over 26,000 pounds. I believe an air break endorsement will also be needed. Lastly, a Class A license will be needed if you plan to tow a...
Don't worry folks. Vote for the TANK.
I will give you a free can of men's AXE deodorant body spray if you actually wake-up next to a bloody horse head and a buck of fish. Problem solved.
Whoa there fella, I've heard tales of the 3 sisters...
Okay, on a serious note, I'm glad you enjoyed the humor and I look forward to sharing a Crown with you. I can't make this year's GA rally, but I sure want to be there next year.
Lets see here... Where do I start...
1) My brother slept next to a tank in Iraq. Said it kept him warm on the cold desert nights.
2) After drinking all of that Crown, I bet you will need to piss in your M909. Can anybody imagine what 48 days of that would smell like (Yikes - Who would...
zout - Taking pictures of the Ritz-Carlton and trying to pass them off as your camper in this thread has got to be against the >>:rules:
Seriously, that is one amazing rig. Your craftsmanship is amazing!
John,
I have a mental list of threads that I want to read as time permits. Having seen several references to "The ARK" in other threads, this was one of them. After enjoying today's Sunday Sermon, I had some free time. Conveniently using the link in your signature block, I took the...
