Kevin...send me a PM with details. I have your phone number and I can prob snag it for you. Still not sure about the exact date but it will be in the next two weeks.
I have a small utility trailer I can pull behind the Dakota and I have the option of taking the Dodge Dually and 28 foot gooseneck but I would have to have a guaranteed haul out and back to take that rig.
Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Academy Yes, yes, yes......come to the GA Rally in Oct. It is a family friendly event and you will meet the nicest bunch of folks there are in the MV collector hobby. There is a link in the "Upcoming Events" thread that gives all the details. Concerning...
Chances are if you need it some one will bring it. I know I have a bridge plate or two if I can dig them out of the disorganized pile of jetsom that resulted from my recent relocation. Freighttrain (defrocked former SS) is parting out some deuces and I may bring some of his stuff to pimp off.
I'll be at Tannehill but project deadlines on the farm will keep me from anything other than that and the GA Rally. Will you be at the GA Rally this year?

It's a "walking beam suspension". Removing one axle is not going to change that. It is made to operate with two axles. I don't see the purpose for your proposal unless it is to remove weight and/or rolling resistance. If you are talking about a 5 ton if I were going to bob one I'd find an air...
I think it would attract the attention of every DOT enforcement officer that had some time on his hands. IMHO if you want two axles then go ahead and bob it.
Their status depends on what program they were obtained under. Some vehicles had to be returned to the government and some could be sold by the receiving agencies. If the present owner gives you a bill of sale then, depending on Texas DVM rules, you may be able to title them or at least register...
Kenny....if no one else wants the bumper the guy that owns the armored vehicles (Tanktown) has an M36 that needs one. I don't know if he's going to make the rally but keep him in mind.
