Well, the cruise happened. I didn't take anybody in the bed, WildChild467 took several in the bed of his M35a2, as did a few other MV's there, and there was no issue. The bed riders were even standing. I called my local city police to ask about it the day before, and they said it is not...
Regarding stainless, it always seems like a great fix to corroded fasteners, but I think it is only medium hardness, like a grade 5 equivalent? Also, aren't engine fasteners beyond grade 8, such as grade 10? If me, I would obtain the lengths and head side thread, and then go to a Fastenal...
Thanks all. I agree with everything posted, completely, from top to bottom. I was looking forward to Porky's response since he is from MI and was hoping BobH would chime in too but that's ok. It is interesting to see even the out of stater's still had very reasonable opinions that fit well...
I am almost certain this is the wrong section, and apology for that. There is a very large cruise function this week and weekend here in MI called Woodward Dream Cruise. I'm trying to decipher the legality of having passengers in the cargo bed area of my 925 and WildChild467's M35A2 for it...
I hate to pee in the pool, but I may have made just about the opposite choice for a MI winter beater. An old diesel V8 that is tired and hard to start in this summer temp, is going to be very resistant to start in the winter months. You can use a block heater and all that, but that could get...
I would lean a lot more toward a big rig system that had them like maybe mentioned above vs an aftermarket deal or F-700 stuff, especially if this truck will be heavy and tow. Undersized disc system can overheat and fade quick, especially if multiple such stops are needed. I'm not telling you...
Win the auction, make the rail arrangements (terminal-terminal is cheapest), then pay a local SS member close to the auction lot to go get the truck, check the fluids, and drive it to the freight terminal. Have local SS friend make a large label of how to start, move, and stop the truck, place...
Rail freight is usually the lowest cost way to ship something heavy more than 250mi. There are terminals everywhere. Try a quote that way too for more options if that is really the one you have to have.
Mine seemed tight to begin with. I loosened the blade fasteners, re-tightened them, and my noise went away. If I was you, I would break them all loose, and re-tighten them all. Maybe even pull the blade off and look closely at it and the mounting area on the hub. Each their own, all I can do...
A quick thank you to the many that have ordered., glad you like them and you could save good coin and get it quick. A few even resold their Red Dot bracket configs, not wanting it due to adding v belt and moving the fan forward. Kits are 1 week lead time out. Not much profit it in for me, my...
