    Off Road Design Engine Crossmember

The crossmember can be unbolted while the engine is still in the truck and supported by the side towers. With it out of the way, pan swaps should be easy (relatively). I also have an email into ORD discussing that same matter.

Oil Pressure has left the building.

Right now I can't think of anything but let me try to sleep on it.

Can't be out of oil, its still leaking. LOL, I did consider that though.

    Off Road Design Engine Crossmember

I am looking for any and all feedback on this crossmember and its use on any CUCV. I'm on the verge of pulling an oil pan and doing this crossmember may ease my time on my back. http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/enginecrossmember.htm

Perfect timing Doug, let me give that some thought.

Oil Pressure has left the building.

Just ordered a pump, drive and pan gaskets to have them onhand. If it looks to be more than I have time for, I'll just drive the bambalance. **** thing needs a 454 anyways.

Oil Pressure has left the building.

Good or bad luck, I'm not certain. The other day I started the SECMish CUCV to be treated to a big red idiot light telling the idiot that there is an oil pressure problem. Today I finally switched out the sender but still had a warning light. Hooked up a gauge and confirmed the worse. Odd that...

Okay gang, just a few days over a month out, less than a month for Ron. It's crunch time. Get your tetanus shots and passports together. If saving has just started, you might be tight on cash. As usual, there will be lifting equipment on site. These services are provided with a smile by...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Well, crap. Been out of commission for over 2 weeks now with a pinched sciatic nerve. Just before that I started the SECM looking truck up and the oil idiot light stayed on. Hoping for it to be a sensor, I bought a replacement. Going to get my son to swap it out today. Hope that's all it is...

I hear those swinging hitches tow real nice. Should be a smooth ride. With any luck, you will find a good deal on some vises.

Easiest one to get out or the one you have most of. The chickens have no preference.

    Best source for 700R4?

Feeling your pain. Now that I am in GA, I'm realizing pretty quick that the NA 6.2 really sucks in the mountains in an 8500# truck. With that said, I have a 96 Suburban stashed in FL that has the MPFI 454 and a 4L80E. Guess what sins I've been thinking of?

Flat towing an M1009...should I pull the driveshaft ?

The pump in the transfer case is driven off the rear driveshaft so you should be fine. With that said, my personal rule of thumb is anything over 50 miles, I pull the shaft. Extra layer of safety so to speak.

Looks like a good turnout will be had. Pat, I'm leaving 2 days later to get there at the same time. Pretty cool. If I get my crippled act together and get my small fuel transfer system done, I won't need to stop for fuel.

I am in search of one camo support pole system. Either aluminum or fiberglass will work.
