Thank you Wagnum! Here is the video of your tach installed and working. Please post pics of your mounting solution. I am interested to see what you did on the driver's side A pillar.

I believe I saw that one on the big auction site a few weeks back. The location of sale, damage and story about theft lines up with what I read in a listing. I'm glad someone got a good truck for a good price! You were blessed!
Thanks guys! I finally met Simp5782 in Memphis a few weeks ago. He had me help moving a few 5 tons around to get things parked orderly. We then took one for a drive. I think I only scared him once. Maybe twice. :driver:
Oh well, we didn't get pulled over. The one I drove was pretty nice and...
Mark, as I have followed your posts on the M1078, I am having trouble imagining a tan trailer with a camo truck. Everything you do is detailed so well. Please tell me you plan to paint the trailer to match the truck! Oh, just so you know, we will all let you wait until you get it home...
Yes! I agree, and changed my vote after reading the story. I like the documentation of how tankdriver uses it to further the hobby and serve those who served us! It also helped that he calls Tennessee home.
I'd be interested to know your plans. I've seen several converted into really cool expedition RV's. One had and expandable box mounted on the rear.
As a side note, two of these M1070's sold at auction here in TN this week a runner for $25k and a non-runner for $21.5K
Guys, I think Lionel was asking for other photos of different art. I've seen some, but only on doors and cowl panels of 5 tons in the paint and bodywork threads here. It is actually an interesting question, and I'd like to see how units have decorated/personalized their HMMWV. It shows some...
You mention paying the first $5K via credit card and then the balance via wire transfer. I read their policy to mean any item over a certain amount ($10k?) had to be paid in full via wire transfer. Maybe try paying that way next time. At least it's an excuse to by another MV!
Very nice rig. I enjoyed a less rustic MEP 802A generator recovery with my son last year. I look forward to a MV recovery with him and hope he still wants to help! It looks like you had a great time of bonding.
I thought the tops and doors being built by Midwest Military Equipment in MO looked very similar. Some of their build galleries look much like the M1123's on GP. I believe MME is a member here on SS.
Scroll down own to the June 4 post on their FB page...
I think normally aspirated engines struggle more than a turbo. I'd be surprised if you really notice any difference in Colorado unless loaded near max weight. I took a NA 6.2L 4x4 Chevy out there many moons ago. I flipped the air cleaner cap upside down and it seemed to do fine.
