    Rear Axle Inner Seal Number

most inner seals are still good. when oil gets mixed with grease it will go right past them. they are meant for grease only. oil usually gets past the outer because bearings are not tight or keyway leaked

turning up pump does it help starting

i don't see how it could, the pump goes to full fuel when not turning so that starting gets max amount. there are many factors in play like injectors, ip head worn, timing, cranking speed which is very important, fuel supply not leaking down, etc.

    difference between ldt465 and lds465

but the real basic difference seems to be the oil passages in the pistons versus just oil sprayed on the bottom of the piston. maybe slightly different cam, maybe 2 hole injectors ( i have seen these in all ldt i have checked ) the ldt power is set very conservativly so just how big of a...

    Sprag?

rolling backwards is fine as long as the trans is in rev. same for rolling forward trans should be in any forward gear. smaller tires on front would be no problem except for more slippage of rear before lockup would occur. different size tires with a air tc would be a problem as binding would occur.

    Bearing Question

90 wt oil from the axle is fine for the bearings. just because someone 60 years ago designed something doesn't mean it was the best way or the only way. now you must consider the inner grease seal will not work for oil so you will have to find one that is and maybe redesign the hub/axle tube. it...

    Vehicle Code legal...?

insurance is another point. you probably cannot put any type of antique plates or historic plates on a bobbed truck, or a repowered truck. you can, but you may find that you are fooling yourself that you ae insured. if something happens it may ruin your day, and possibly life.

    Vehicle Code legal...?

in maryland everything is n/a. weight, width, height, etc. plus mil vehicles are invisable to most law enforcement. i drove mine with no plates (they were in the cab) for more than 6 mths and nothing. i don't even get pulled over for speeding......

you could try bleeding them. might be better to pull all drums and inspect / replace / fix leak first, it went somewhere and will again.
