I've seen them with a metal insert and hole cut. I have one of the inserts I'm going to use as a template for cutting a soft top to go with my LWS. Im in AZ and it's in KS. I have pics somewhere with a tape measure. I'll post them if I can find them.

You're describing an M931A2. There's a big long list of things to check, but first and foremost is whether the seller has a title in his name. Not an SF97, not a bill of sale, but an actual state issued title.

The 5ton combat wheels or the LMTV wheels either one will be fine with the standard lugnuts and wheel studs. HEMTT rims would require offset lugnuts or longer wheelstuds. What size tires do you plan to use?

Do not use the rear thimbles. Use lug nuts like you have on the front. Using thimbles on the back is unsafe. I've seen it done, but they aren't designed for singles and can break.
