If you have brake lights in the stop light position then your wiring and bulbs are good. If the brake lights don't work in service drive with the same switch it's bad and needs to be replaced.
Something to keep in mind is that you don't want to crank on it forever. The usual guideline is you don't want to run the starter for more than about 20 seconds and then wait another 20 seconds before trying it again. Overheating the starter is the best way to kill it and it's an SOB to change...
Citizens band operates in the 27 Mhz frequency range which is just below the normal tactical FM range of 30-88 Mhz. Being this close to the citizens band you can generally operate using either the AT-1729 or AS-3900 antennas. The freq match isn't perfect but will work. 2 meter radios operate...
Casasenita, the purpose of the grounding kit is to make sure there are no potential (voltage) differences between any of the components in the electrical system and the body of the truck so any point you can pick up will generally work. You always want to use "star" washers because they will...
I'd be willing to bet that every registration is a story all it's own. There are so many variables when trying to do this starting with the basic paperwork you have with your vehicle. Then you have to deal with the broad spectrum of DMV employees. Your going to find lenient DMVs, strict DMVs...
There was a plate that was part of the M151 ROPS kits that was used to relocate the main light switch because the rollbar would have covered it. If you can find one of those plates remounting the light switch becomes a piece of cake.
ThirdGear, The PRC-68 was never designed to work with a speaker and it's output audio level is even lower than that of the 25/77s. The 68s have an internal speaker for normal use but can be used with the H-189 or H-250 handsets or the Whisper Mikes that came out later on.
The PRC-68 normally...
Zee, You could build up a simple carrier detector and have that key up the PTT circuit with a simple relay. Very similar to VOX circuits but with an RF detector instead of an audio circuit. We could probably stuff one on a box like the one I used for the Racal headset power injector.

Soak the shaft with KROIL. It's the best stuff I've ever found for rusted, nasty hardware and when you put the center bolt of the puller into the steering shaft be careful not to flare the shaft end of the shaft or your only option will be to replace the whole steering column. Luckily in the...
That little steering wheel and those big tires don't work together well without the pump in operation. You could move the truck in an emergency but unless your going in straight lines it's a bear to drive.
There is a very good flow chart for fan circuitry problems in the -20 manuals that will get you to the source of your problem. The -20 manuals are good references for about 90% of the problems your going to have with your vehicle. Where they tend to be weak is in areas where components have...
These were commonly used in the 60's on Triumph and MG vehicles. If you Google search MG seat clips and look in the images section you'll come up with a couple of companies in the UK that sell them either individually or in sets. There are 2 sizes out there, one is 13/16 and the other is just...
