Looking at the M35 in a different way

The red in the tail lights have 4 small shapes. If you look at them from a short distance you can see all 4 of them. As you back away they look like 2. Back away more and they look like 1. This will take a few hundred feet. When driving behind one at night, you need to stay far enought back to...

    Looking for tm #s

The truck will still use the TM 9-2320-209-** and/or 9-2320-361-** Not shure what the TM is for the shop part. May depend on what shop it is.

    1/12/10 GSA Deuce fire truck

It's a 530C. Should have hose reels on both sides. The eng bay lights are standard on that truck. TM's should be 5-4210-217-**. If you get the ser# and model# off the pump, you can call Waterous and get the manual for the pump from them. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries has the TM...

    1/12/10 GSA Deuce fire truck

Well it's a 530C fire truck. The date plate for the fire truck should be on the right side cab door. Lots of stuff is missing but it still looks good.

    1/12/10 GSA Deuce fire truck

Is it a 530B or 530C? And who made the bed? You need to know all that to tell which TM you need. Most of the truck is just the same as a M35 as far as the TM's go. I take it you plan to keep it hole? If not let me know. When you find out what it is let me know and I can help with the TM #'s.

Problems during fluid/filter changes and leak issues

I thought that the TM said to remove the housing to change the filter. I just relooked at both TM 361-20 1991 and the newer 361-24 2006. They grouped filter and housing removal together. They start by removing the housing then the filter then reinstalling all step by step. It would be real easy...

    Advice on Parking brake replacement

Skill wise it is easy, but can be a pain in the a$$. There is, or should be a locking nut on the the end of the cable that is slow to get off. On mine I could only trun it 1/8-1/4 trun at a time. Other than that its easy.

    1/12/10 GSA Deuce fire truck

Nice looking truck. But its not a military fire truck, well not a 530 class fire truck. Still looks good thought.

    Brake parts

The Wagner P/N for the washers is F602 and F603. Do not try to get these from O'Reillys! They cross both of these to HDW9452. There bean counters think that they are close to the same size that you only need the one size not both! This was a year or so ago they may have fix it I do not know.

    TM 5-4210-200-10 Anywhere???

Almost all thing printed by the GPO will be in the major Library. The smaller library can borrow from the bigger ones. When I was in high school we went to the U of A library, this is when I found out that the GPO send copys of every thing including TM's FM's to state and Fed librarys.

    TM 5-4210-200-10 Anywhere???

Go to your local Library. If they do not have it they should be able to get it. It may come on micro filme but you can get it printed off. I got TM 5-4210-217-34 on microfiche from my local library. I also got some smaller ones in paper. I just took those home and carefully removed the staples...

    Parts is parts

It would depend on the vendor. The ones that make the fuel pump for the deuce will sell them to us(cheper than the dealers). Gma sell the covers/tops. All you can do is call/email them and ask.

    Replacement winch cable

There are 2-4 different typs of steel used in wire rope. I don't know the names/tremers off the top of my head. But there is a BIG differance in load ratings. The best 1/2' wire rope is at its working load limt on the deuce winch, from what i've read. I do NOT see a load rating or the type of...
