Great job. I really like how the ladder is carried, so as to make the door/window more secure. Think I might borrow that idea for Mah Deuce.
That will never work...
If you decide to remove them, I'd LOVE to grab those from yah. I'm all the way up in the bay area, but I'm sure we could figure something out. I've got the flat plate mudflaps that bolt to the underside of the bed if you want those. I just want to anchor my mudflaps to the frame because I'm not...
Thanks Ed! That's great to know about those 5-ton selector valves. Sounds like EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Makes sense I guess, because I'm using them almost exactly the same way. I was thinking that I'd need to put the fuel gauge on a separate switch (to switch between sending units), but...
That's the FBO filter that will be used to separate water from the fuel in the slut tank. Look at the size of those fittings! Also received this fuel polishing unit, which should keep the fuel clean. Should keep algae and anything like that from growing in the fuel tanks.
What do you think about these Magnom magnetic filters? They look pretty nice.
Can you please tell me more about these valves? I'm getting to the point where I need to start thinking about plumbing, and want to make sure I'm using the right components. There are going to be several selector...
wreckerman, you're absolutely right. I'm sure this incident was 100% avoidable, and the driver that caused it is at fault, and should be held accountable. But this was almost certainly also an accident (in the sense that the driver didn't intentionally push that car out into traffic), and the...
Have you ever been involved in an accident? Ever been at-fault? Ever had a close call? You know, **** happens. People make mistakes. I have. Once rear-ended a lady as we were approaching a stoplight because she stopped abruptly, and I wasn't paying attention. Totally my fault. I was lucky that...
Well, I don't know what you're looking for. Stock is stupid-simple, and building a basic custom bumper like the one posted is an easy 1-day project if you're halfway handy in a shop. But if you want to go full custom, and do something a little bit nicer/tricker, I could help you design something...
No reason why you couldn't build a custom bumper and bolt it on, just like the stock one.
I'm going to cannibalize my stock front bumper. Chop it up and reshape it. I don't really like how far the front bumper sticks out with the winch extensions, especially outside of the framerails. So I'm...
Hoping that will change after I insulate my new hardtop and install a nice headliner.
Speaking of hardtops, I've got a brand new NOS 900-series hardtop that I'm going to cut down to fit Mah Deuce. That is, unless someone out there wants it and has a deuce hardtop to trade...
I really liked the removable hitch that Recht71 posted, and removable hitch in the other thread that mlwats1 started is pretty cool too.
Yesterday I spent some time crawling around under Mah Deuce, and this is what I came up with. I liked the basic idea of the removable hitch that Recht71...
