Check out this website. Heaters and other 12/24 volt items.http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/24vodcpr.html
I have the aftermarket heater/AC units that were made to go on the LNTV's....they can be adapeted to the deuce.
PM if interested.
My M275 deuce tractor has the NA multi-fuel in it.......I see no difference in power or performance....just a lot more smoke when it is pulling a load.
It will also build heat in a hard pull faster than a turbo truck...especially if the fuel has been turned up.
I added an aftermarket muffler...
Theoretically all tactical vehicles are capable of deep water fording....you have to take steps before and after doing the deed.......if you had clear water and a level hard bottom it would be cool to ride around underwater...until the environmental wackos saw you and had a conniption fit.
The ones on the 900 series are hydrolically powered verses shaft powered on the 800 series.
I've heard that the military de-rated them due to that reason.
I bought one from GL a few years ago and sold it to fellow SS member SCSG-G4......I don't think he has any plans to get rid of it. It was at this year's 2012 GA Rally.
They are somewhat rare beasts and I have only seen a few sell through GL in the time I have been buying surplus vehicles.

WRECKERMAN'S CHRISTMAS STOCKING STUFFER SALE
I have 9 hats and 25 shirts left.
The breakdown is:
6 Small tan (great for the kids)
1 small black
5 large Black
2 Large tan
11 each Large ash (long sleeve) These would make great sleep shirts for the petite ladies.
Hats have been reduced to...
The 800 series 5 tons have the Naturally Aspirated Cummins 250 in them....about 250 HP if you believe Cummins.
The M-818 Truck, Tractor has a towed load allowance of 37,500 lb.
818's are better suited to get a trailer to the hardball road and then let a road tractor get them to the final...
Keith,
I already regret selling my last cargo deuce (still have the M275 tractor) and if I can get another one cheap I'll do it...if just for a bobber project.
As for the pulling power of the 5 ton I'll let the pics speak for themselves.
If the truck has bolt together rims you can have them repaired at most big truck tire repair places.....if they work on log skidders all the better......my local guy used an o-ring from a skidder to fix one of the tires on my M927. He charged me $25.00 to remove, repair and put the tire back on.
If the rear axles on the 53 foot trailer won't slide you will be dragging those wheels over a lot of curbs....you will also have to swing real wide on turns and that can be an adventure in urban areas.
I used to pull a 53 foot dry box with a lift gate on the rear.....I kept the tandems slid all...
I found the pics I and my son made on the Collins Foundation B-17.
Pic one is my son Kyle behind a .50 cal.
Pic two is me behind the .50 cal.
Pics three and four are the WWII Vet that was on the plane....the young man is his grandson.
Pic five is the plane we flew on.
I'm always glad to help a fellow MV addict out....think of me as the "Green Iron Enabler".
Since I'm a people person (as long as said people are not annoying) I love to meet new folks......this is a great hobby for that and this is by far the best military vehicle site on the web.
I'm always...
I previewed it a couple of times before it actually went on the block so I was aware of the oddball tires......there are duals on each corner......I did notice a spare underneath the body but it doesn't match the ones on the ground.
I would like to have fat singles all the way around if I could...
DAMIFINO.......since Redstone is home to the Missile Command and other hinky directorates my guess it that it is/was some sort of command van. It has wiring for multiple phone lines and at one time the inside had all sorts of work stations in it.
Most of the interior has been gutted out and it...
Today I and my faithful sidekick, along with two possums, took the M927 up to Redstone to pick up the latest object of my affliction to whit an unidentified command trailer of questionable parentage.
While there we met up with fellow member kdaniels and his buddy who were recovering his cherry...
