6x6's
My father and I sell 2.5 and 5 tons to fund our hobby of collecting 6x6's. I'm only 29 and I owned my first M35a2 when I was 17. Drove it to prom, ski trips, used it for a primary work vehicle one entire Summer. To me there is not a neater vehicle on the road than the M35 from an...
M818 with 1600's
Here's our M818 with 1600's. We plan on putting 1600's on the M813 in the next month or so. Looking forward to getting my new two piece rims I purchased and need to pick up from James!!!
Andy
Thanks!
Tony,
Thanks again for the business and I really enjoyed working with you. Glad to see an M35 in the town where my wife grew up! This truck will serve you well.
Thanks again,
Andy
We have an M35 that currently has a small leak on the oil line that feeds the turbo bearing. The line going to the fitting on top of the turbo is dry but the connection to the engine block is leaking.
I've never replaced one of these before- is this just an o ring that seals these...
Thanks
Dan,
Thanks for the compliments. It was a pleasure working with you. We are looking forward to coming to your museum's open house when the weather warms up!
Thanks again,
Andy
Oils
We run 15w40 in all our trucks. The multifuel is a high revving engine spinning 2,600rpm at full road speed. With the high rpm's and high compression ratio of the multi you want to ensure that your bearings are riding on a good film of oil and not something to light. We run 15w40 like...
Although we have never bobbed any of our trucks I thought I would chime in. I guess it all depends on what you want to do with your truck. Are you going to use it to haul heavy loads in the bed? Are you going to install substantially larger tires? Are you going to be pulling heavy trailers...
Primary
A quick question regarding the primary filter. I show Napa 3511 in the cross reference list on the website here. What gasket do I need for the primary or is one included with 3511 from Napa?
Jatonka- I'm looking forward to your secondary fuel filter kit. coming soon I plan on...
nice!
John,
Thanks for keeping us updated. How does it run? Have you driven it yet? If so how is the power difference.? I'm sure the straight pipe sounds pretty sweet!
thanks,
Andy
James,
Here is a picture of the oil cooler assy. on the NHC 250. Easy to change out the only hard part is finding the alignment marks as they are VERY faint and clocking the position of the oil cooler is crucial for correct operatioin. I have all the the M809/M818 tech manuals for viewing on...
Personally I would stay far way from the Cat. The 3116 Cat in my engine opinion not fair well when put in applications where it's stressed even lightly. Pull up truckpaper.com and see how many 3116/3126/C7's are rebuilt that only have 150k or less on the truck. The 3116 doesn't start well in...
wrecker haul
If it's the truck in the picture your wrecker looks immaculate. The winch cable hook still had the paint on it! Congrats! I was glad to see 8500 did not win that truck. A truck weighing approx 36,000lbs empty is going to need a double drop dedicated haul most likely. Thats how...
M818's
A can of ether if it is cold as the NHC's are kind of hard starters. Also does the brake have a firm pedal? We have had to do our fair share of master cylinders in GL lots. We ALWAYS carry a new master cylinder with us. It's about $130 bucks for a new 5 ton one. Personally I'm not...
