starting with the keyway at the top, A is to the left and then go anticlockwise on the outside ring of pins, B C D E F H J and you will be back at top right of keyway. then the 4 in middle are top K, bottom M, left L, and right N. (i am only pretty sure this is right)
RE: Another deuce brake problem
the brake light switch is just a NO pressure switch, but it is the pressure rating i would wonder about. civ switches will work just fine, but the pins are just off a little and they don't have the boot. oem mil switches are cheap, why not just get a new one??
the a/c post is probably for a/c........... odd as that sounds. but really many vehicles have a a/c tap to run the vehicle tach. what was the alt intended for??
there really aren't that many places oil can leak, most likely is shut off cover, plug in rear cover and there is a plug on the bottom of the gov housing about in line with the throttle shaft.
i took measurements from the original spring seat and arrived at the dimentions i used. i did not notice any problems and i am 6'3" and 260#. note that i used a 800 series dash so the wheel is lower by about 3", but is also a smaller wheel since it has power steering.
RE: Re: RE: Shock Change Gurus, Help!
i did not mean you used everything that came with the monroe shock, just that the rubber bushings go right against the mount with a metal cup only on the shochk side.
ok, after reading some posts and thinking some (very little) it seems to me there is a way to see how .66 would perform. 46" tires on a deuce (23" radius) with a stock trans would be the same as .66 od with 9:00-20. both seem to yeild 60 mph at 2300 rpm. so who has a deuce with 46" ers and how...
right, but you need to turn the front without compressing the slots where you loosened the bolts, plus the threads may not want to turn plus you have to overcome the friction of the belt as you have to make one side slip. hence the special tool to turn the front.........
RE: seats...?
i make the cab insulation out of the pads that are meant to go under mil air mattresses. i'll take some more pics tomorrow since the interior is almost done.
RE: seats...?
yes, i have hemmt seats, very comfy. cab insulation from artic kit, quieter and i have patterns to cut more. multifuel 20k btu heater gives almost instant heat. electric wipers i have seen but i don't have them, yet, a/c is not that far a stretch either... oh, i guess you should...
i would like there to be a happy medium, but it may be that the .66 would be best for 9:00-20 and .71 best for any larger size because of the limited power of the ldt/lds engines. hope to build two trans in the next year and try them.
my chart gives you the overall ratio so all you need is these formulas to solve for any other tire size
it looks like the 11:00-20 is almost the same as the 14.5r20 in radius
rpm = (168 * mph * ratio ) / radius
mph = ( rpm * radius) / ( 168 * ratio)
this is a chart of gear ratios / rpm / mph for 9:00-20 and 14.5r20 tires with stock trans and then with my proposed od gear set. it kind of puts it in better perspective and makes it easier to choose the best od ratio. i am leaning toward the .66 od for areas where most driving is on nearly...
gear speed chart for .79, .71, .66 od
this attachment is a chart of gear ratios / rpm / mph for 9:00-20 and 14.5r20 tires with stock trans and one with my proposed od gear set. it kind of puts it in better perspective and makes it easier to choose the best od ratio. i am leaning toward the .66...
