Can someone give me more info on what HMMWV are like to own?

RE: Can someone give me more info on what these are like to you would be much happier with a U1300L unimog, it is a real 4x4 truck unlike the hmmwv which will always be breaking, rides rough, is noisey, has poor heat and almost no defroster, no a/c, does not keep the weather out very well etc...

Fuel pump question on my 2 1/2

RE: Re: RE: Re: Fuel pump question on my 2 1/2 the heat in the returned fuel is just from the engine as the fuel flows through the injector pump and filters. the 'return' line on the injectors is just to deal with the VERY tiny amount of fuel that has to be vented somewhere due to injector...

RE: Re: Fuel pump question on my 2 1/2 extra fuel cooling injectors?? fuel does not flow through the injectors only to them............. the first thing i do with any 'new' truck is replace all the fuel lines. the old ones will be brittle and subject to breaking and causing fire. i use truck...

Funny noise in 4th and 5th Gear

as to the vibration, check the u joints in the shaft between trans and transfer case, you can have a mess if this comes apart at speed and they do. put transfer in neutral and run the rpm up in 4th and 5th to see if the vibration is still there. run it up to 2300 rpm in eact gear, if it vibrates...

    Ordered the 9 speed today....

i guess i should have added this is a 3208 and a spicer cm6000 series trans in a deuce frame. just a note, with spicer transmissions, generally the first number is the torque rating times 100, so the regular m-35 trans being a 3000 series is 300 ft lbs and a 6000 series as in a old 5 ton is 600...

    Solid state flasher

if lights flash at all they are capable of working, i. e. the bulbs and wiring are good. the power for brake lights goes to the brake light switch on the air pack and then back up to the turn switch. pull the connector off this switch, check for power and if it's there jump the connector and see...
