    Is that with the stock MV pump? If so, that is what I was looking for. What configuration of dump hoist are you using? If scissor, did you have to raise bed, or does it hit axle doffs at full axle travel, and what is you full dump angle? Sorry for all the questions, thanks.

    Cummins 6CTA8.3 Injection Timing

    Mine is 2150rpm which gives 67mph in top gear. Can reach almost 2300rpm on a freeway downhill, but no more. A GSK (Governor Spring Kit) from a 5.9L will increase it. The 8.3 goes up to 3000-3400 range from Cummins in marine apps.

    That is a very interesting perspective I had not considered. I know they specify not to run synthetic for that specific reason, but we didn't. Also, todays oil do not have the zinc levels in them anymore like they used to. Still an interesting point though. Good thinking out of the box.
