    M1009 Trailer Connector Wiring Diagram

I think your best answer is in post number 11.

Passing power with the 4L80E or lack of

Big trannies such as a 4L80E sucks more power than do smaller ones. I'm surprised that you went with a 4L80E rather than a 700R4. Wouldn't hold up? Mine did, in a Banks turbo'd M1009 (no, it didn't have the stock 3.08 gears), although it was built to handle upwards of 500 ft.lbs. if memory...

    Show me your intercoolers

Hey, sounds like your luck (or lack thereof) is a lot like mine.

That's too bad. Then you can't take advantage of the amazing prices Rock Auto has on a close-out sale on a bunch of K30 parts. Or maybe you can...there are photos with many of them.

    Show me your intercoolers

I do respect your opinion, corelokt, but I respect facts more. That LOTS of people refer to charge air coolers as intercoolers (because it sounds fancier?) doesn't change the fact that there are very few actual intercooler applications out there. As far as mounting a charge air cooler in a CUCV...

Okay, did the deed on concrete. Now I'm curious how you accessed the rear tank brackets. It'd be easy if it wasn't for the muffler being inconveniently placed in the way. I ended up loosening both straps, removing the bolts for the front bracket, then moved the tank forward and tilted it down as...

    Show me your intercoolers

Alright, since there are no other takers, I'll present the best facsimile I have. It's going in my Ram, and without a second turbo or a blower to plumb it in between, it's a mere charge air cooler. Sorry.

I think it's mostly an even more standard Case 580C. Finding the quick disconnects wasn't that hard. I can look up the numbers if someone wants them - or look at the numbers on the couplers on the hose reel, then pick the hose connection tread/size of your liking.

Yes, I owe you one for cluing me in, but I'm not convinced about the 1-hour part. It would likely be had I not parked in a mud puddle. Hopefully it can be primed, bled, primed, and maybe even ethered, to dry ground. Or, I could add fuel to the tank I'm about to drop, drive, then siphon. Yeah...

Dang it, you had to be right, didn't you? Compared to two other FLUs, and the lines are reversed. Yeah, I know, a two minute fix...except on this SEE. For whatever reason, the tank is so close to the bed structure above that the 90-degree hard lines coming out of the sending unit don't quite...

Anyone Towing With a 6.2 Diesel?

A always use a stout tow vehicle and trailers that are well suited for the task. Except when it's quicker to utilize whatever is handy.

Can you then recycle the copper from the wiring they ate off of the SEEs?

That may not be all bad, peakbagger. With some luck the diagnostic system may already be eliminated.

SHHH!! I was hoping to snag a parts SEE for cheap.

    Non-military 20' Trailer Strengthening Advice

Too late. I'm curious now, so I'll try to remember looking it up tomorrow. Too many load "a lot" on their trailers without giving any thought to GVWR or tongue weight. Yes, when/if I put a SEE on the 30-footer I'll be over both on the trailer and max tow capacity of the 1-ton (it has 3.73 gears...

    Non-military 20' Trailer Strengthening Advice

Oh, you had to ask, didn't you, Ahab? I don't remember how much it weighs (but I do know where the title is, so I can look it up). Anyway, it sits on 7,000-lb. axles so probably good for about 9-10,000 lbs. The trailer itself is plenty stout, but it is axle/spring/tire limited at this point. I...

Yeah, a fuel/water separator would be better. A very large one would be better yet in my case.

"Had" is more like it. He's nearly broke and has been for the 25-something years I've known him. But when he did have money, he spent it wisely.

Good point. I need to look into that possibility, too. And check what the fuel level is...I've bled out gallons by now.

Okay, that works for me. Cheaper ammo, too. But it'd still be fun to let my friend take a few shots with a .50, just because.
