flipping the center-sections in riveted wheels

Then I hauled all those wheels down to Agri Trade School in Salinas, where Tom sand-blasted them for me. I was going to prime/paint them myself, but fortunately, a buddy of mine told me that I could get them powder-coated at Les Schwab for $25 before I bought paint. And that INCLUDES...

flipping the center-sections in riveted wheels

OK. Got a BUNCH of pics for you guys. This is how I ended up fitting the center-sections to the shells. Worked out to exactly 6" backspacing, just like G said it would be... After assembling my 'practice' wheel, I realized that I should be truing the wheels off of the lip where the...

    M35A3 Rim Photo Please

Wow. Those wheels are only rated for 4000lbs? That sucks. What are the regular old deuce wheels rated for. Only curious because I just finished rebuilding mine, and my new tires are rated at a little over 7000lbs.

    planning an LDS swap

I be happy with power similar/equal to a well-tuned LDT, maybe just a little bit more reliable.

    planning an LDS swap

Time to get serious about this swap. Need to pick up my engine before the end of the month. Anybody in CA have space and a lift or A-frame hoist or something I could use to pull this off? Have all my own tools, and would like to do the work myself, but would be willing to pay for use of space...

flipping the center-sections in riveted wheels

Got all of my wheels sandblasted, powdercoated, tires mounted, and installed on Mah Deuce. Was planning on painting the wheels, but I found out that Les Schwab will powdercoat wheels for $25ea. Couldn't say no to that, so I drove up to Fremont and dropped off all my wheels. Picked them up a week...

singled deuce tires: Goodyear or Michelin?

Take a look at the Firestone T831's. I just mounted-up a set of 'em on Mah Deuce and they look the business, but I haven't driven it yet.

    malibu deuce for sale

I don't care if you don't like it, that sounds like a smokin' deal to me. Spend a few hundred dollars on powdercoating and you're good to go. 1966 kaiser deuce & a half military truck

    Details on ringmount plate rivets.

Of course you're right. I guess what I've got is a late-model A2 cab. The slave-cable hole in the cab is blocked-off, and there are no holes for the soft-top tiedowns, but no insulated floor (dangit) and no shoulder harness mounts. I'd like to see pictures of that other cab reinforcement that...

    Details on ringmount plate rivets.

Yeah, I think mine is an A3 cab. I'll post some pics when I get it back from being sandblasted and painted. (it was galvanized, and the paint was flaking off it everywhere).

    Details on ringmount plate rivets.

I just bought a brand new cab, NOS, still in the crate (er, what was left of the crate). Anyway, it's got that reinforcing plate in it. Lemme know if you guys need any measurements or pics before I install it.

Anybody Have an LDS Equipped Deuce?

I'm about to. Got a fresh rebuilt LDS sitting in a crate. Just trying to figure out where/how I'm going to pull off the swap.

    Double Deuce crew cab

Any of you guys that are interested in building stretched deuces; you should check out how people mount the bodies and boxes on expedition vehicles and some of the more off-road-oriented motorhomes. Expedition Portal is a good place to start.

Westfolk's Steel Oil Spin On Adapters

I'm confused. ODiron's kit uses a new remote filter mount, but reuses the stock (cut-down) filter housings? Is that right?

need to get a trailer from WA to CA

Hi Ed. Thanks for posting. The trailer would need to be picked up from Brad's place and f you could bring it anywhere down into CA, that would be really cool. I've got to head up to OR next week though, so I might just make a little bit bigger loop and go grab it myself. Maybe just let me know...
