    Military Tail Lights

M916A3 had bad tail light set. Or seems so. Looks like light switch is bad though. M916A3 has LED surface mount (no bucket) 6220015148507 LIGHT SET,STOP LIGH Anyone know if this is same part number installed in a bucket in other installations?

military hand truck air compressors......what are your thoughts?

I have a couple of the Robin engine compressors for the Fire Dept. Very nice. Isn't started that often and the gas tank is ALWAYS dry. Even if petcock is shut off. Why? My weakness is small pumps (as FD). Recently got some Darley (Ohler) 125gpm Hatz diesels (USMC). New in the factory box...

    For a high gloss finish

Unlike most of you reusing converting to Fire Dept tanker a M916A3. Existing paint in good condition on a 5000mi truck. Will be white over red. Expect to have in use for the next 15-20years. Would like a nice shiny fire truck finish (or what is reasonably possible). Any "formula" of process...

    M872 warning

That was the story at Ft McCoy a couple months ago. They had a bunch that looked ok but are now gone from DLA yard. Lot of good tires at least. Somewhere.

Upgrading a M923A2 for Fire Department Usage

DRMS has had MRAP alternators listed in new condition in RCP. 400+ amp. No cost to FD and if in RCP status they pay the shipping to a UIC you designate (such as a local NG armory).

    Sixcon Fuel hose fitting tricks

Thanks very helpful. Looking to stack 2x tanks on a stripped M916A3. But need to get under 11'8" OAL to fit thru fire station door (need reduce by min of 6") A bare tank sitting on new crossmembers welded into the top of the lower unit frame might do it. Thought is to do this twice for...

    Sixcon Fuel hose fitting tricks

Can't help you with that. But could you measure your sixcon? What I'm looking for is the height from the bottom of the cage to the top of the tank (not the top of the cage). IE: if needed to reduce the overall height by removing the top portion of the frame/cage would one "gain" a few inches..

    WoW!!! just got a quote for a new 96-23569 or nsn 7025-01-467-4709 display/ mep-805b

As your photo is a 6x6 fire truck I'll assume you are with a Fire Dept. If major/significant (expensive) failure got to DOD surplus and req a replacement unit. Still LOTS of gensets in the system. Also why when requesting surplus the old rule of "two is one and one is none" applies. You know...

    Valence's 1960 Pioneer Tool Trailer

Fire Dept received a newly rebuild Pioneer trailer (M116A2 chassis) BEAUTIFUL unit. Only issue is no handle for the landing gear jack. NSN 5340-01-386-3974 Any ideas where to find one? Have complete set of new data plates from inside the trailer available..

M1101/02 trailers: I need to change the wheels and need the exact size

Are all the M1101 wheel/tires have runflat (as HMMWV). If not how tell with/without? Any "going" price for takeoffs? Fire Dept has M1101 trailers converting to Chevy 8bolt wheels and now have surplus near new wheel/tires. We need the $ for other projects so what the market will bear.

    Rejuventate a carge cover

Cargo bed cover mon M925 is looking very thin. Can see light thru it. I assume has been on truck since rebuild in 2007. Is there a method to rejuvenate a cover with a coating etc. I assume that the cover will begin to tear within a short time without repair attention.

    M1070A1 & M1000 Walkaround

Could someone explain the M1000 APU? To be specific the DISTRIBUTION BOX 6110015143506. Is the APU 12v rather than 24v? The only photo I could come up with as a tangle that showed a "box" with alligator clamp jumper cable coming out of it. Any good photos of this unit would be helpful it...

My 1988 McGraw Pioneer Tool Trailer

Could you post the dimension of the inside and rear door? Receiving a fresh rebuild for my FD after a bunch of messing around. Very few of these left (and not in this condition) does not compute with the surplus system.

    M1101 Light Bulbs

Perhaps a better option would be LED rated for 12-24v so covers tow with civ or military vehicle as: 1157 https://www.amazon.com/LUYED-Extremely-Chipsets-7528LED-Brightest/dp/B01H55JGMU/ref=sr_1_2?srs=13499694011&ie=UTF8&qid=1491791972&sr=8-2&keywords=1157+12-24v and 1156...
