    SF-97 and title issues

SF-97's are magical and wonderous in the sense that they are never consistent nor can you peek behind the curtain to see how the sausage gets made. They do owe you a full title as you paid for. They should be frequently reminded it's owed to you. The question for you is do you know if your HMMWV...

    923A1 Electrical mystery and no-start?

You PCB is failing and causing your issue. Give it some love taps with a hammer to see if it turns off with the levers in the off position. Replace at when able . Also, Jbulach is correct with his ground diagnostics. It's working as intended. Ground is a ground in this regard. Remove both.

Looking to purchase a 1996 1083 and drive it 120 miles home. What could possibly go wrong?

Tires: inspect for weather cracking and make a judgement call. Cracks on the sidewalls are a no-go. Minor surface cracking on the thickest part of the tread can be acceptable but should be changed soon. Front tires must be the best tires for safety. Drive safe, drive slow(er) than normal. Air...

I want to say hello and thanks.

Hello fellow M10A owner! Good looking units and the solid green one was probably a Tooele Depot rebuild I'm guessing (I had two). These machines are tough but some parts are hard to find. Oddly enough, some parts still make their way out of surplus so grab them when you can. I'll keep one in the...

    370hp? Don't mind if I do!

Make sure you change the default cruise control speed from 255 mph. Not like it would ever reach that even falling out the back of a plane. rofl

Axle (s) rebuild thread, gears and lockers

I like that chart and it confirms my feelings on ECO hubs - the 1:1 ratio is too tall for our trucks and isn't worth the compromise in my opinion. ramdough has it right with his 3.07 gears as the Cat 3126 recommended highway cruise rpm is 2000rpm for economy up to 2200 rpm for performance. Max...

What the heck does NIL mean???

It was delisted for what ever reason. The system doesn't like it when items are "pulled" or "pushed" day so I'm told.

    M1078 - Transmission/Transfer case Binding

With the truck off both axles spin free. It's on jack stands now and I can manipulate them by hand easy. I can try the friction enhancer as I swap TCMs. CAn't hurt at this point.

    M1078 - Transmission/Transfer case Binding

I recently acquired a 98' M1078 with the WTECIII. It has an issue which I believe is focused on the transfer case (mechanically). The truck will start and go into gear, both Drive and Reverse, but it will not move. The transmission engages appropriately and puts a load on the engine but the...

Multifuel Reliability or The M35 itself

It was a shift in Army mentality based on personnel and expenses. Less fresh recruits were able to drive a manual and the long term expenses of this was something they aimed to reduce. There is a publication out there (I'm racking my brain for the technical name but basically a military...
