On August 27th, 2012, the MK48 recovery team (Task Force Elmo) will exfiltrate FOB Possum in Alabama and convoy to Jacksonville, FL for Phase III of Operation MK48 Recovery.
SP time at FOB Possum will be O700 on 27 Aug.
ETA at FOB Holliday Inn will be 1600 on 27 Aug...

I have hauled several deuces (one a M109) on our 28 foot dual axle gooseneck pulled by a Dodge 3500 dually with automatic and Cummins diesel. Good tires are your friends.
Make dam sure the brakes on the trailer are working.
One issue you are going to have is how to load it without brakes...
All equipped with pintle hitches on the rear to hook the towbar to?????
If one of them has a fifth wheel wrecker (Holmes Kit) you can just pick it up from the rear. Remember to tie the steering wheel in place. That's how I recovered two of my M915's.
If they are too short just make some "Feet" that can be attached to the pads of regular landing gear. The Army acutally had something like that for keeping the small feet from sinking into soft ground.
