I used some white oak that I salvaged from a big shipping crate to replace one of the bows on the M927.
I wore out a table saw blade on it.....that crap was harder than Chinese arithmatic.
New equipment is issued to units according to their mission priority.
There are some M101 trailers up for sale on an unmentioned gooberment surplus sale site that are dated 1954.....those trailers are older than I am.
There have been several pass through GL but most of them had severe damage to them.
I have only seen one or two go out the gate in decent condition.
I think Stewart Stevenson Diesel was selling a civilian version at one time.

The "sweet spot" for my M927 is 52MPH at around 1700 RPM.......on flat ground she cruises good but any big hill will pull her down pretty quick when loaded.
