It sounds like the master light switch has bit the bullet. There are differences between manufacturers internally and I've found parts don't always interchange between them. I'd suggest trying a new one. Good luck.

Thursday morning I was on the train from Chachoengsao into Bangkok when I looked over and saw a military convoy headed into Bangkok. We were right outside Suvarnabhumi Airport when I saw them. It was the first time in 3 months of being there that I'd seen more than a randon vehicle here and...
Has anyone on the list made or seen a spare tire rack that would mount under the rear of the bed on a 101 trailer? I'd rather mount it there than add the weight to the tongue with a front mounted spare. It means the rear landing leg would have to be removable but I believe this is a better...
I also picked up an M101A3 from Herlong after a ton of hastles with the civy gate Nazis. What are they keeping in this place? The presidents real birth certificate?
My M101A2 has a pin on a piece of jack chain that gets inserted into the coupler when backing up. It effectively locks the hydraulic cylinder keeping the brakes from actuating.

Clint,
If your planning on controlling the full range of taillights on your trailer you're going to need a relay for each of them. It's easier to calculate the current draw for each light string and put a set of dropping resistors inline with each 24 volt circuit. Using Ohms Law; R=E/I;
to...
On the last sale I won a trailer at Sierra Army Depot. Surprisingly enough, the EUC processed quickly and the GL employee I spoke to at Sierra was very helpful. What Aaron failed to mention was the bases requirements to get on the base.
I asked a friend in the area to pick up the trailer and...
Well Gentlemen,
Obviously the patron saint of all us surplus junkies, Saint Scrapus, has been looking after me. Today I received my "Paid in Full" invoice from GL for my trailer! This sale closed on April 2nd and here it is only the 13th! AMAZING!! My last EUC took over 2.5 months...
M16ty,
I did the EUC on the GL site and printed it off to sign and return it. Their help balloons are only helpful to a point. I guess what gripes me is that when I asked GL for clarification all I got back was a "you have to check box C" message. I wanted to know what I did wrong so I...
I was awarded one of the trailers at Sierra Army Depot and when I sent in my EUC (why in the world a 3/4T trailer needs an EUC is beyond me) I got an email back from GL asking me to resubmit the EUC because in section 2 I checked box A, "retention for the following use", and put cargo trailer...
Mark,
As long as you're just running lighting with them they're fine but anything with a transformer in it will choke on the 400Hz. I've never tried powering some of the new "universal" power supplies with one but it might be worth a try. Most of todays switching power supplies convert the...
Bodies sold this way are considered class 9 repair parts and therefore don't require an EUC since they aren't technically a vehicle or an MLI list item.
Sevo,
The MX-7777 was primarily used in tracked vehicles with heavy hydraulic servo systems that generated lots of transients into the electrical system. Soft skinned vehicles never had the same problems although they did use a mini version, the MX-7778 that mounted under the MT-1029 radio...
I'm heading back to Thailand right after Tower Park and wondered if anyone has ever found anything of interest there (other than the usual stuff)? I will be about an hour east of Bangkok but the train system is cheap and you can get almost anywhere in the country within a day.
Thanks,
Kurt...
There are a couple of companies that make crimp tools for the military bullet connectors. I think that Daniels manufacturing makes one of the best but they're pretty pricey new. The best place to find them is either at electronic surplus stores or eBay. They make a nice 4 point crimp that just...
